Ok Chivas fans you can revel in the glory of your “Superclasico” win but a game that seemed to be out of distance at 3-0 became more difficult.
Club America may have thought they were going to survive the first half until Segio Santana scored off a header and then after a great set up from Omar Bravo within a span of two minutes. Bravo made a great play holding the ball after drawing out America goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to the left of his goal enabling Santana to steam into the box and crash his finish home.
After an ejection it looked bleak for Club America playing with ten men at Jalisco Stadium.
Enter Paraguayan international Salvador Cabanas who converted a penalty for America to cut it to 3-1.
Then Cabanas came up with an amazing play fending off a defender and controlling a 60 yard ball from Diego Cervantes over his head inside the penalty area and then cool as ice finished. The lead now 3-2 made it a little less than comfortable for Chivas who ultimately got the result .
Under Efrain Flores they are currently the best team in the Mexican league.
A good week for Jorge Vergara, a Saprissa win in Concacaf Champions Cup over the Dynamo and now a Superclasico win.
The Dynamo take on Chivas in the summer in the Superliga…….Thoughts on the Superclasico…

Being a longtime Chivas fan I can tell you that I did not like the 2nd half reaction from the guys…First Half was electric for Chivas…probably one of the best halves they’ve played all season…They’re coming off a hard game agains Santos (brazil), and they seemed just as vulnerable in that second half…they also had a 3-1 lead and almost lost the 2points midweek…but hey…a win is a win…and I think I know what’s going to happen when Chivas come to Robertson…I’ve been debating about what Im going to do that day since Im a big fan of both Chivas and Dynamo…and I guess I just got my answer….
Since Chivas seems to be a first half team, I’ll go for them first half
and Dynamo are definitely a second half team, so I’ll wear my orange 2nd half
I know, I know you all can tell me Im not a real fan…but I’ve been a Chivas fan longer than I’ve been a Dynamo fan…just because they’ve been around longer…but for the sake of having a great time that game, I will follow what I said above..
It will be a great game I bet…
