One my mind:
ENGLAND
Once again England go out in the shootout and I know this is a talking point and so many are referencing history and past loses in penalty kicks.
Why not talk about the in-ability to win these game’s and avoid the lottery that is penalty kicks?
DYNAMO DEFENSE
The Dynamo have struggled defensively and have conceded 7 goals in the last two games against Toronto FC and Montreal. We talk about this and more tonight on Sports Talk 790 ahead of their match against Philadelphia this coming weekend.
SEATTLE/PORTLAND
Having called the Cascadian Derby match yesterday I can only say that this rivalry is clearly the number one in MLS.
Fans, tifos, two teams that have a genuine dislike for each other plus the element of history.
No teams reach back into their professional soccer history better in MLS.
They include all their past pro teams at all levels to keep the connection alive .
Tell me what you want to talk about?

Looking to the future, you would see Brian Ching retiring, as of now Kandji not stepping up to the plate, Bruin really blossoming, Weaver getting let go over the winter, Carr being a little bit of a hit or miss. It looks like we need to find a very solid striker for the future of the orginzation to compliment Bruin. With Cameron most likely going over seas and the Dynamo already looking into a striker you would have to think the transfer window will yield an excellent striker. On the other hand, arguably the best defender we have is leaving, Ashe is getting burned on the wing, chaos has become of our back four. Do the Dynamo look to a Defender as well? Can we afford a striker and a defender? Glenn, What options do you think the Dynamo have at this point? Moving forward the Dynamo can get it together and turn into a championship team or fall apart and look to next year. I say, Go Dynamo 3 time mls champs!
Glenn- Enjoyed your call of Timbers vs Sounders game yesterday.
Fortunate to attend match in Portland last year and Seattle season before. Atmosphere like none other, outstanding! All MLS fans should make trek to both Jeld Wen and Century Link, won’t be disappointed.
All around excellent day for MLS with RedBull Arena even sold out and rock-in, both games really enjoyable to watch.
Final comment, really tired of RSL’s Kreis superior attitude. Quakes went into Rio Tinto and flat out beat RSL. Kreis has hard time admitting his team can be beaten, yes, even at home. This isn’t first time he claimed RSL “gave” away the game. Needs to get his nose out of the air, gives an impression of “I’m bigger and better than this league”
William, thank you for kind comments, really is amazing atmosphere.
Coaches are human and like all of us can at times not “see” because they are in it.
Ego, protection of players , rose colored glasses all involved.
Then some just more arrogant than others, fans are educated and can sense these things.
Change can yield great things Lantz, another striker I think is a priority and time for Taylor, Hainault and co. to step up and others frankly.
