Article about the Mexican Federation and plans for El Tri up until the World Cup. Writer mentions Mexico will play at Reliant on May 13th against a team to be announced later.

Bernardo (before he took over the Astros beat writing duties) mentioned it could be the US team. Who else could it be?

No chance for the U.S…..I believe it will be a higher profile Adidas team.

And now, the english version by our very own Jose de Jesus Ortiz (new Dynamo beat writer):

    Higher profile Adidas team? ……Argentina??

I’m so there if that’s the case!!

But why so much confidence that it will probably be an Adidas team? Most European teams like to stay home so close to World Cups so I’m not thinking about them too much. Though, most of the higher profile Adidas teams are based in Europe. Hmmmm

Man I can’t believe the ignorant and racist comments being made online about the stadium proposal. It’s sad to see really. I guess the bright side is those season ticket holders who wrote in to protest.

  5. glenndavis says:

    Jay,
It is important when talking about the stadium to remind people that ALL Houstonians can benefit from the stadium when it comes to enjoying it. Other events like boxing, lacrosse, motocross, concerts, American Football will all use this venue.
It is just plain good business to get this stadium done downtown.
Those who are ignorant can be counted out.

Somebody told me that I’m forgetting about Paraguay. Yes, it could be them as well. Will be interesting to find out whenever the FMF makes that annoucement.
