Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis 8:30 AM Saturday, huge games on tap ….

Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis airs this Saturday at 8:30 AM on Fox Sports Houston in the Comcast and AT&T Uverse cable systems.
I think you will enjoy this show that features top ten goals, freestyle juggling, Dynamo highlights and interesting interviews with Dominic Kinnear on how he got in to coaching (he had not planned on it) and goalkeeper coach Tim Hanley who gives his insight into working with three very different Dynamo goalkeepers.
Highlights, goals, information and more!!!!
Note the 8:30 AM start time so set your DVR’s………….

Spanish League kicks off this weekend but how about already in week 2 of Serie A we get the Milan Derby between Inter and AC Milan! Also, I am planning on catching Arsenal and Manchester United. Lets see if the youth of Arsenal can leave up to this game!
Of course the Dynamo are at Colorado on Sunday at 2cst ….What games are you focused on and why?

September 5th….I have this date etched in the mind…U.S. vs. El Salvador, Mexico at Costa Rica without Carlos Vela…..I will not miss what should be a war between Argentina and Brazil…….FIESTA Smart Soccer Tips with Glenn Davis available at Soccer 4 All and Soccer time…..Mark West Pinot Noir!!! Taste it, enjoy it! Sterling Bank, Zukowski, Bresenhan and Sinex the law firm!

What does your soccer weekend entail?

I read somewhere a few days ago that Serie A is finally cutting ties with Serie B clubs…

This is a little too late for them since La Liga and of course the Premier League have stolen all the thunder that they once had…Specially La Liga now with Kaka, CR9, Zlatan, and a few more…

Seems like all the players that went to Serie A were just a domino effect of the big RMadrid and Premier League’s signings…

What a shame for them…but some could’ve come to MLS…we need a push, big time…seems the Mexican League clubs are now starting to get confidence back and it’s showing in the CCL, but if we had more big names coming from Europe instead of shipping all our talent there, the league would grow even faster!

I truly believe MLS needs to start looking more in S.America…So many players there that could have a huge impact here…

Argentinians, Uruguayans, Chilean…players…with size and skill…

    they’re out there!

  2. Leo says:

*drum roll* I have officially become a Houston Dynamo Season Ticket Holder! For those of you that didn’t know…unless I understood wrong the guy on the phone said that included with the package this year is an MLS ALL-STAR Game ticket! So if this is true does this already mean Robertson? I guess only time will tell…For those of you wondering…YES Landin was the final push…so believe it or not Luis Angel Landin just sold a season ticket :-) ….well people…starting next season expect to see my ugly mug at all the games…:-)

  3. Leonardo says:

Leo, you are not going to regret it…

  4. MoisesV says:

You won’t regret buying the tickets to the best deal in town…but I’ll tell you what you’ll regret this weekend…

    Chivas 3 – Pachuca 1

Chivas was always my favorite team until the Dynamo showed up…I still cheer them unless they’re playing the Dynamo…I found out that my heart is a little more orange than rojiblanco last year when they played at Robertson…

2 goals from Chicharito Hdz and one from el Tepa….

  5. Leo says:

Ah MoisesV ignorance is bliss…because Pachuca will WIN!!!! :-) j/k Pachuca has a hard game coming up 2morrow but I wish the best…and thanks for the welcoming words Moises and Leonardo…

  6. Leo says:

The UEFA Super Cup game Barca against Shakter is pretty close…Barca is controlling the game but Shakter has looked dangerous on the counterattack…its on FSC and FSE for those wondering…superb game by Dani Alves!

  7. Edwin says:

Leo I’m with you my money is on Pachuca and Toluca this weekend to beat the Giatns of Mexico and show who’s been the class of the Mexican league for the last 10-12 years!

Leo it might be a big club from Mexico or a big club from Europe, would hope for a Barca or Real Madrid for you!

  8. Leo says:

Thanks Edwin…we can only wish and hope huh?…So how do you feel about your LA Galaxy gaining ground on our Dynamo? You think it’ll be a Dynamo v. Galaxy Western Final? Good luck to you and your LA Galaxy in the Super Clasico! Speaking about Barca great play by Messi and goal by Pedro Rodriguez to seal yet another trophy for what is quickly becoming the best team of all time!

  9. Jacentito says:

What?!! Leo on the Dynamo train now? Sweet. Now add your voice for the stadium push and all will be well. DP Player, Stadium and Leo.
Glenn – love the Sat AM show. I DVR it and watch it right before I gorge on EPL for breakfast. I don’t even pay attention to College or pro football now that I can watch soccer almost all day on the weekends around attending the Dynamo match. Throw in Champions league both here and in Europe and I have plenty to choose from.
Question for you Glenn – if you ran Dallas, Colorado or Kansas City, what would you do to help their fan/support situations?

  10. Edwin says:

I completely agree Leo about Barca beeing the best or among the best ever!

I love that my Galaxy are among the top 4 teams in the league, Chivas still has 2 games in hand so Have to beat them thanks for the good luck wish, I think the Galaxy has the potential to be among the best in MLS right now, they had some really close games in the beginning of the year, 2nd game they let the fastest goal in MLS history in like 16 seconds so if it wasn’t for some mental blurs we could have close to 40 points as well, with a solid back line and depth with Sanneh a veteran teachin Omar Gonzalez and the other young guns the good habits, Leonard Griffin and when he comes back Sean Franklin give us more flexibility last year’s Rookie of the season can play mid and so can AJ De La Garza his replacement for now, but they still have a long way to go, maybe another 7 points till they can lock a playoff spot.

Now that they have Landon and Beckham in the mix to give the offense all the passes they can handle they should do good, I really want Edson Buddle and Alecko Eskandarian to get back healthy, I’m wondering why a broken nose from a ball hitting you in the face takes over a month to heal? With those 2 Beckham and Landon will get good targets to service, this is the way the Galaxy should play every year they are a team with history and the debacle that Lalas and FO made was a disgrace, specially when you have Landon in the squad!

I think the Galaxy can make it to the Conference finals, but I think that goes thru Seattle and that is no small feat with both Freddy’s, Zakuani and Nyassi with their speed and then the great back line and goalie, I expect Sea, Hou and LAG to be in the west final the 4th playoff spot should be between RSL, Chivas USA
