Bring me some opinion tonight!!!
Thoughts:
1.) Hacked, GlennDavissoccer.com was hacked and some have accused Hugo Sanchez, the guy at Houston Chronicle that hates soccer, Alexi Lalas, and more. This accusations have come in on twitter: GlennDavisSoc.
Any thoughts who may have done this?
2.) Howard what a week- Not only was Tim Howard spectacular in the 1-0 win over Mexico at Azteca but he capped that performance with a 1-0 win yesterday for Everton over Manchester United. Now that is a great six days!
Robin van Persie did debut in the second half for United.
3.) Geoff Cameron interview- the Stoke City and U.S. international opened up last night on sportstalk790 doing a 28 minute interview on everything EPL, Stoke, U.S. etc. Can’t miss interview is on podcast at sports790.com, click podcasts, click Glenn Davis
4.) Dynamo to El Salvador today. They begin Wednesday Champions League Concacaf style. How important is there success in this league to you?
5.) Butts in seats- those who have season tickets have got to pass them on to others. The total seats sold was over 20,000 for the Dynamo v. Columbus game but lots of empty seats appeared on tv.
Those with tickets must pass them on to others so that seats are filled for perception and many other reasons.

So are Dynamo Season Tickets too cheap? Would people let their seats go empty if they were worried about their hard earned money going to waste ? I dont want ticket prices to go up but its a legitimate question…..I would like to see some sort of Loyalty program where season ticket holders get some sort of reward for making sure theri tickets are used ?? Free food or merchandise?
Also I would like there to be a way to turn in my tickets at will call to be resold- the online option to resell tickets is fine but lets face it most folks go to the boxoffice to buy tickets on the day of the game for all games other than Marquis matches (i.e LA or NY). I think that it is important to be sure the best seats in the house are full before selling new tickets.
Also I would love to have an an online option to donate tickets to charity (Brand Birgade?)Maybe I could get some sort of receipt so I could get a tax deduction for the donation?
just a few thoughts that should be easy enough to
Here is an idea. If I use my ticket 90% of the time give me a credit towards a parking pass.
give up to a 25% credit towards a parking pass for each ticket. If I have 4 tickets that gives me a chance to get a free parking pass for next season. That would be very cool……
So the demographics of the city is 44% hispanic, not sure what part of that is mexican hispanic. If we could pick someone up of the Mexican national team say… Dos Santos? You can guarantee more butts will be in seats. Ticket demmand would go up drastically. You see the influx of Honduran supporters to the stadium after Garcia. Imagine the influx of Mexico supporters in our melting pot of a city. With Alexander possibly taking over, you know he is going to want to make a splash to show us he means to support the team. You never know it could happen.
Columbus did a lot of things rt the other night but the dynamo did not help themselves.
Columbus pressed our midfield and Davis & co could not find the open areas. Bruin is on a island with no one to combine with. Davis needs to combine more with Bruin. The lack of combination play has hurt the dynamo attack against sides that stay in front of the ball. Davis must continue to use his rt foot if the dynamo attack is going to be successful.
Defense must stay strong or we will see more ties and less wins. Taylor must have support. No one supports him when he is beat. Other MLS team sites have brought this up.
Glad to see Weaver get some pt.
Lets win Wednesday Go Dynamo
glenn: Went to the stadium for the first time this year. My wife and I loved it. Much better to watch a game in person than on TV. My observations of the game. Columbus I thought played very well, playing defensively and countering. There first goal was world class. Ashe played poorly I thought and when he was subsituted, the team picked up. Clark will make a great impact on this team. If he plays the middle, the long passes to the wings will come. That is when the Orange are most effective. I think Davis should play wide. There were no crosses into the box as he normally makes. Bruin was lost in the game. Overall, it was an off nite for the team but to their credit, they came back and tied. Taylor definitely needs help back there. Boswell is slow. He was good when paired up with Cameron but he’s gone. Taylor needs to stay home more so the counters won’t become so prevalent. I will be back. It was awesome!
Glenn – It was definitely the guy at the Chronicle. Glad you fixed the site as it had been unreadable for months.
Great ideas from Kirk, I know a lot of people that will just let their tickets go unused on gameday because its “too hot”. It would be nice to see some kind of incentive from the front office to change that.
Thanks,
Alton
Lots of great posts here.
