Paraguayan striker Salvador Cabanas has apparently been shot in the head according to a report from Televisa.
Cabanas was with family and friends and attacked at a bar south of Mexico City.
According to a prosecutor named Miguel Angel Mancera the attack occurred in a bathroom and Cabanas was shot in the head. No one yet knows the motive.
Cabanas apparently arrived conscious to the hospital and responded to questions but they were also saying they were trying to stabilise his heart.
Club America president Michael Bauer revealed that Cabanas was undergoing surgery and the attack was unprovoked after talking to Cabanas’ wife.
What do you even say about this? One can only hope for Cabanas to make it through this ordeal.

MLS might be looking pretty good to some of those players playing in Mexico right now.
Here’s to hoping he pulls through first and foremost, his Life is more important than his Soccer Career at this point. Best wishes and a speedy recovery!
Craziness
I’m shocked to have read the news. I visited some other sites to read more on the incident, and was even more shocked to see that those sites actually posted pictures of Cabanans wounded. I found that very inappropriate and wrong. I hope too hear that Cabanas comes out ok.
Chino,
I assume you are very happy about Inter result.

The photos are pretty violent. Just make the stomach turn. Though, the fact that his situation has stabilized is certainly good news.
In other supposedly good news. Apparently Charlie Davies is making progress and hasn’t ruled himself out of South Africa. In fact, he seems quite confident about his progress.

Landin made a good choice then. Glad he didn’t go there, if the rumors were even true.
Certainly am happy with the Inter result. Pandev has certainly been a good addition to the club. Just imagine the damgage Inter could have done had Sneijder not been Red carded? Julio Cesar\’s penalty save was the icing to the cake!
