This one played out the way most thought it would.
Chicago defended deep, made it difficult for the Dynamo to find space and put in a workmanlike performance to get the draw.
Both teams were limited with few shots on goal but in the end the Dynamo had a few more chances coming close to taking the full three points.
A Will Bruin header and a Mac Kandji effort in the first half were some of the better chances on the night for the Dynamo.
Brad Davis also had an opportunity in the second half after winning a ball around the Chicago 18.
The Fire proved dangerous on a few occasions but conceded the ball to the Dynamo throughout the night and defended deep. The inability to get the game’s first goal allowed the Fire to remain rooted deep defensively.
DYNAMO DEFENDING
The good news is the team has gotten back to the roots of good collective defending in the last two games.
The back four defended well throughout the night and had to be alert and focused on the occasional break out play of Chicago.
WIth Geoff Cameron likely to head to England the first choice back four was on display last night.
BONIEK GARCIA
He continues to impress with his ethic and ability and the Dynamo have picked up an excellent signing. He did seem to take himself out of the game in the second half by remaining in the interior of midfield as opposed to mixing it up from a wide starting point to receive the ball.
CREDIT THE FIRE
Credit has to be given to Chicago for their road effort.
They defended well and made it difficult for the Dynamo to find space and create chances.
Both teams were on their second of three games in 8 days.

Caught your broadcast last night via MLS Direct kick.
Since you worked with Dan Kelly, wondering if he knew the skinny on Sebastian Grazzini?
Strange situation, looked like he was finished with Fire, then resigns as contract expired, practices with team, then misses next 2 games for “personnel reason’s”.He is integral piece in Fire midfield.
