Inter Milan midfielder Patrick Viera has expressed interest in playing in MLS. Youri Djorkaeff has helped apparently influence him on making the move which in some ways might be remarkable after Djorkaeff laboring in New York on poor teams.
Viera with his experience could be an asset to the league .
It has been great to see players like Kasey Keller and Freddy Ljunberg come to MLS with a level of professionalism that has escaped others over the years that have come from Europe.
Ljunberg was worth the price alone at Robertson Stadium last weekend when the Dynamo and Seattle tied 1-1.
Andri Shevchenko apparently will be released by Chelsea and could be another potential for MLS? Could he be an asset to the league?

Shevchenko is heading home to Ukraine. About Viera, he seems to be coming over here just to do something before retirement. And typically, guys like that don’t do well here. Keller really wants to do well here and Ljunberg has such a great attitude that he’ll be fun to watch anywhere. Viera? Reminds me too much of Lothar Mattheus from almost 10 years ago with the Metrostars. Don’t remember it? Be thankful for that. It was brief and uninspiring.
Don’t blame Foster and his lousy footwork for Arsenal’s first half goal. Poor marking from Vidic makes Aarshavin’s shot difficult to save for lots of keepers.

Shevchenko is a player we should of gotten here already, I have a feeling the Galaxy will go after him or someone like Saviola if Landon goes to Europe, which in it of it self is a puzzle, Landon is a free agent this year, but the league has a 2 year option on him so I think the MLS will excercise it no matter what even if it’s just to get a good purchase price for Landon, PSG and Livorno are the most likely places for him to go right now in France’s Ligue 1 and Italy’s Seria A
I would rather see him in a La Liga side like Getafe or Osasuna, well guys I’m off to watch the Super Clasico!
Yeah Edwin I heard about that two year option…something the Dynamo should have implemented on Clark and Holden! Now we’re in trouble to losing them as free agents and gaining not one cent! Well…Pachuca got a draw at Guadalajara so i’m content…especially playing a man down for most of the second half…i’m watching the SuperClasico seems like a good nerve racking game…i’m secretly hoping for a Chivas USA win so LA doesn’t gain more ground on our Clockwork Orange…glad to see BoBrad in the stands and i’m happing he didnt call up Sacha Kljestan or Adu…I mean I’m an El Tri fan but that doesn’t mean I dont wish the best for Sam’s Army.

First game of the season that was completely sold out the AC Milan game doesn’t count! There where lines like crazy to get any kind of food or drink, glad I got there 1 hour before game time for the national anthem and fireworks!

Well no tie so it looks like Hou, CLB, LAG will battle out the supporter’s Shield, Crew can be 4 points ahead of LA and even or 2 ahead of Dynamo even if they don’t win, I don’t think Seattle will stay as strong and the Fire are actually putting themselves out!
Hou should beat KC & RSL easily at home and LA should beat FC Dallas, TFC and San Jose to end the season easily, but the keys will be LA @ CLB and CHI @ LA I think Blanco will make it a contest but LA needs to win to try to fight for 1st place! Houston in comes down to @ CLB and vs the Galaxy at home!
