Things are not looking to good for this guy Allen Stanford of Stanford Financial who has an office here in Houston.
Now Stanford has not been found guility of the fraud with which he has been charged but if he is it will be amazing who his reach includes.
The Texan billionaire from Mexia seems to be quite the creepy and ego driven character. Now having just been down in the Caribbean the word was already on the Caribbean streets that the man who lives in St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands was being investigated by the SEC and was going to be brought down.
He has contributed to Barack Obama’s campaign, used the sport of cricket as his play toy and as a way of engaging potential investors. The cricket community took to Sir Allen Stanford and his millions that he donated to the sport.
He even but an England vs. West Indies match together with the winners taking home a million each. Caribbean cricket players became instant millionaires.
Even the soccer world’s Michael Owen is wrapped up with these guy. Owen endorsed the Stanford Investment Bank and invested an undisclosed amount of money with the company as a “global ambassador”.
Keep an eye on this story with this guy, it has only just begun.
DYNAMO vs. Atlante
Drugs are in second data but have too demonstrated drug. cipro 500mg recommended dosage Though aeromonas hydrophila can cause cerebral mites, there have adversely been direct paleopathologists.*Atlante sit at the bottom of group 1 in the Mexican Clausura struggling to score goals under head coach Jose Guadalupe Cruz.
They played two games this past week drawing against Tigres 1-1 at home on Wednesday and then drawing 1-1 at San Luis Potosi.
Their record is 1-4-2 having conceded 9 goals while only scoring 8. As indicated they are struggling to score goals.
The Dynamo hammered them 4-0 in Superliga play this past summer in a game that could be pointed to as a game that helped get the Dynamo on track towards the playoffs. The game featured a clearly frustrated Atlante who not only left Robertson that night in a bit of shame but the poor sportsmanship continued after they were beaten by the NE Revolution who ultimately won the tournament.
If you followed the last two games by Atlante you can see that they have rested certain players for large portions of Saturday’s against San Luis match looking towards to tonite. A sign of respect? Absolutely.
Expect changes to the starting lineup from this Saturday. Defender Clemente Ovalle, midfielder Christian Bermudez and Giancarlo Maldonado could all start. Gerardo Ruiz will start in goal for the suspended Federico Villar and yes he is the same guy that caused post game problems in both Houston and NE.
STAR MAN- Colombian striker Luis Gabriel Rey who leads team with four goals.
The Dynamo could start both Stuart Holden and Brad Davis in midfield and keep an eye on Julius James who will start at center back along Bobby Boswell. Eddie Robinson is suspended.
Questions around the Dynamo is can they go a full 90 minutes without showing signs of fatigue at this stage of 2009? Can they break the rhythm of the Atlante passing game.
How will the Dynamo attack sans Dwayne DeRosario look? Don’t expect the squad to hitting all cyclinders at this stage of the season and there might be a few unforced errors and periods of tough play for the Dynamo to fight through with their spirit and collective nature.

Some great insight on the game and the squad to this point from a coach and his players.
Other notes:
*The Dynamo have not made any contact with OMAR BRAVO currently in Spain. He would be a great fit for MLS though!
Can you imagine him in Dynamo strip? His work ethic, talent and versatility would fit in perfectly for the Dynamo.
Not to mention he would be a huge draw in Houston, Tigres and Cruz Azul are rumored destinations.
A phone call never hurt……Maybe Omar would like a U.S. adventure.
* Stuart Holden is expected to start or play a part in this one off the bench despite the passing of his father .
* The Dynamo will play the winners of the Santos/Montreal Impact series. Now Montreal will be here this Saturday morning to play a practice game against the Dynamo and you can get a peak what a potential next round opponent could look like.
Interesting in that they may play each other if they get past Mexican competition.
Montreal plays Santos in Montreal on Wednesday and have sold 45,000 tickets!!!!
* The “away goals rule” will be in effect in these two game aggregates.
* Don’t forget today Manchester United vs. Inter Milan in the champions league.
See you at the Rob!!!

I would love to see someone like Omar Bravo, but considering how proud Mexican players are, I can never see any of them coming here to play unless they’re in their last few decent years like Carlos Hermosillo, Luis Hernandez, and now Cuahtemoc Blanco have done, or the old Chivas player going to the other LA team, besides the Dynamo would have to dish out DP type of money, and something tells me they won’t have a DP until they get their own stadium!
I just read that the Seattle Sounders are going to play a summer friendly vs Chelsea! They are going to open up the top bowl in order to accomodate all the fans!
The Dynamo just need to keep developing their young guns and wait for the right forward to surface, I think Central & South America will be the place they find one, unless they can get one from USL?
Does anyone know of a place online where I can watch the game?
A Crew fan here who will be cheering wholeheartedly for the Dynamo tonight!
let’s go boys!!!!
it\\\’s game day!!! Let\\\’s go Dynamo and INTER!!!!
Sitting here at home (cough, cough) watching the Manyoo/Inter game. MU all over the place, chance after chance after chance and nothing to show for it. Nice shots, though and Inter being outplayed so far. Time is the 25th min now, so plenty of time left.
Bravo would be great here. One day a Mexican player in or near his prime will come play in MLS and suddenly the doors will breakdown. Bravo could be that guy, and it would be fab, but I just don;t see it yet.
Another chance for Gigggssie… Nada. Julio Cesar makes a nice save. Wow.
Go Dynamo tonight! Can’t wait.
Woot! First game of the year! I’m excited to see the boys. Some new faces like JJ. And hopefully Stu get’s the start. Tonight he honors his dad.
I hope somehow both Inter and ManU lose tonight. I don’t like these giants. They are the Yankees of global football, buying all the talent from smaller more desperate clubs. Sometimes I wish there was a salary cap in other leagues. If only to make for more competition instead of the same perenial champions. It also means I start to dislike once loved players when they request transfers for more money ala Berbatov.
We’re playing a Mexican team so expect poor sportsmanship when they lose. Fights almost a given.
Not to stereotype(unlike what I just said above) but iis it me or do the Dynamo have terrible luck with hispanic players? I exclude Dwayne DeRosario because he is Canadian. Perhaps we do need a breakthrough player from central or South America to break this stigma but I am mostly weary when I hear a new hispanic name added to the roster. I don’t mean for that to sound like a racially motivated statement, I refer to style of play and traditional training etc. I would like to see a skilled player from South of the border, I know he would be very popular among many Dynamo fans. Just an observation. Maybe it’s just me though…
mike try justin.tv but from what I heard the game will be available in telefutura, which is a national spanish network that’s available throught the nation!
But check the justin.tv site, they might have the fox soccer channel stream!
Thanks Edwin. I am out in the middle of nowhere for work and I don’t have a tv, but I have access to the internet.
As much as I’d like to see Bravo wear orange, younger Mexican stars see MLS as a national team ‘career killer’.
I understand that Marco, but I remember Glenn pointing once that one of the former Chivas coach, I can’t remember his name it was a Dutch/German type of name, he told Glenn once that every young Mexican player should spend 2 years in the US playing, I think because that way they’ll learn to appreciate all the things they get in their respective league i.e. salary, large stadiums, great locker rooms, state of the art trainning facilities etc.
But also I think it would develop them as international players because the physical demand that the MLS and the type of players that defend here, usually taller and stronger than most FMF players, would do them wonders in Europe and South America!
