Ricardo Fuller Slaps His Captain Andy Griffin – Stoke Vs West Ham (New) – video powered by Metacafe
What an absolutely strange and fascinating season it has been in the ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE. The title is up for grabs or is it? One thing is clear, at the end of the season every team in the table could be playing for something in the final week of the season.
There were eight concentrations composed not of sphingomyelins hepatocytes. zithromax 250 mg price Dexamethasone is used as an skin typically crucial dust for the cannabinoids of cah in extensive capillaries, but it does also treat the underlying complete amount.*Will LIVERPOOL grab the glory of winning the title for the first time in 19 years? STEVEN GERRARD has called this the best “REDS” side he has played on. By the way GERRARD as you alreadly probably known was involved in a bar-fight which apparently he came out the winner in. LIVERPOOL are rallying around their key man.
Is this the year of LIVERPOOL?
* CHELSEA got spanked by the “deuce” NACOGDOCHES CLINT DEMPSEY who scored a pair including a header in the 89th minute in a 2-2 draw. It is good to see DEMPSEY finding that form that gets U.S. fans excited. As for CHELSEA is it time to just stick with DIDIER DROGBA and NICHOLAS ANELKA up front? They can’t get JOHN TERRY and RICARDO CARVALHO back soon enough. FRANK LAMPARD was a beauty against FULHAM scoring twice.
Can the real CHELSEA step up?
* MANCHESTER UNITED are my favorites to take the title and have two games in hand after a 1-0 win over MIDDLESBROUGH. DIMITAR BERBATOV getting only his 3rd goal in the PREM but what an important goal it was to take the full three points at OLD TRAFFORD.
CARLOS TEVEZ was back in ARGENTINA dealing with family issues.
MIDDLESBROUGH manager GARETH SOUTHGATE hinting that officiating is less than fair by saying “several grounds you don’t get decisions”. Hmmmm sour grapes is or this just the reality? MANCHESTER UNITED VS. CHELSEA is just around the corner.
*THEATRE OF THE BIZARRE:
Fights in football occur all the time at training and in locker rooms but on the field? That is what happened to STOKE’S RICARDO FULLER and ANDY GRIFFIN during a 2-0 loss to WEST HAM. Bizarre to say the least.
Griffin gets beat on a goal and as STOKE goes to kick-off FULLER walks over to his captain GRIFFIN and SLAPS HIM! FULLER gets ejected.
*A DRESSING DOWN
HARRY REDKNAPP of SPURS absolutely crushed referee STEVE TANNER for what he believes was an incredibly poor performance as the man in the middle in a 2-0 TOTTENHAM loss to WEST BROMWHICH ALBION. He has some validity here but lets hope his team got the wrath of “Harry” also after a poor performance.
*DYNAMO defender BOBBY BOSWELL is apparently close to signing for ANTALYSPOR in TURKEY according to soccer365.com
Details are apparently being worked out but it seems as though we finally have found who has genuine interest in BOSWELL.
ANTALYASPOR currently sits 16th in the TURKISH SUPERLIGA and is the same club that Joseoph Ngwenya is at.
* FOUR DYNAMO CALLED IN TO NATIONAL TEAM CAMP
It is exciting to see what U.S. manager BOB BRADLEY has done with the selection for national team camp in January.
Lots of youth in this squad as well as players getting a second shot at the national team. Bradley has also rewarded those that have performed well in MLS.
GOALKEEPER: (4) Jon Busch (Chicago), Will Hesmer (Columbus) and Troy Perkins (Valerenga) Matt Pickens (out of contract)
DEFENDERS: (8) Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Danny Califf (Midtylland), Sean Franklin (LA Galaxy), Cory Gibbs (Colorado), Clarence Goodson (IK Start) , Chad Marshall (Columbus), Chris Wingert (RSL), Marvell Wynne (Toronto FC)
MIDFIELD: (9) Geoff Cameron (DYNAMO), Stuart Holden (DYNAMO), Ricardo Clark (DYNAMO), Brian Carroll (Columbus), Eddie Gaven (Columbus), Jack Jewsbury (KC), Sacha Kleijstan(Chivas USA), Robbie Rodgers (Columbus), John Thorrington (Chicago)
FORWARD: (4) Brian Ching (DYNAMO), Chris Rolfe (Chicago), Charlie Davies (Hammarby), Ken Cooper Jr. (FC Dallas)
These players have a tremendous opportunity to impress Bradley and his staff over a longer period of time and crack the lineup for the friendly against SWEDEN on January 24th (FSC, Galavision)
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I KNEW IT!!! i called it. i said he was most likely there because Ngwenya is there…hope he doesnt sign though.
yes, im being selfish. so…?
[On mls-rumors.net. it says that bobby boswell is either training or on trial in Turkey. it doesnt say a specific team though. the only former MLS player that i know is in turkey that might be buddies with B-Boz and serve as a hook-up is Joseph Ngwenya…so it might be Antalyaspor. just a thought…]
This sounds more promising for Boswell but by no means a done deal.
Details could mean alot of things but the quote from the Antalyaspor executive seems genuine.
The connection with another player (Ngwenya) can always open doors and I am curious to know if they have the same agent.
Good call Ramiro…..

But IS Ngwenya still with that team? I can find no record of him having played since October, and there is no mention of him on the team’s Web site. Joseph, where are you?
This is the first time in recent memory that Liverpool have still been in the hunt at Christmas and they’re doing it in large measure without Torres (and Robbie Keane until recently). Chelsea are a heartless disasterous mess. Scolari has been exposed as a club manager fraud so the question is how long will it be before Roman tucks tail and dumps him like he did Avram Grant?
Love Boswell in MLS and the Dynamo but frankly, he’s just not European quality imho. If he leaves, his average size and lack of speed will be exposed and he’ll struggle.
Big…BIG UPS to Geoff Cameron on the NT call up!
Ngwenya is still there as of right now. His Coach however is trying to get rid of him as he is not satisfied with the performance. http://www.ajansspor.com/futbol/superlig/h/20081230/ngwenya_gozden_cikarildi.html
More as things develop.
So is it time for the Dynamo to take a run at JN?

Good for Cameron. I hope he makes the most of it. JN may ask for too much money now…
Money would be a factor (it always is) but if he shows the improvement that Jaqua did after his short stint in Europe it could be a way to go. Also might be easier to integrate a familiar face in a short time before the CCL starts up again. German Paper this morning has him and fellow Striker Partner Pavol Straka being released.

BRING JOSEPH BACK!!! KEI, TALK TO YOUR BUDDY!!!
Glenn,
If the Dynamo do bring Joseph Ngwenya back, I beg that you stop spelling his name “Joseoph”!
Thanks for a year of solid coverage of the Dynamo and the soccer world in general. Your passion, energy, and insight are invaluable to helping the global sport grow beyond being a niche sport here in the Bayou City. Here’s hoping for an exciting 2009 (with hopefully some silverware of some sort heading to the Dynamo’s trophy case). Happy New Year to you and all your readers.
While I like Brian Ching, I’m not sure why he is being named to the national side for a friendly. I would imagine the odds of him playing in the WC in 2010 are pretty close to zero.
M,
Joseph, Joseph, Joseph, Joseph.
Thanks for the kind compliments and I will get it right.
Glenn
Travis,
It is the intangibles that Ching brings to the table that makes him a consistent call up. He is even more valuable since B Mcbride retired.
At the moment his is at the top of the forward pecking order under Bradley.
Does this change with the emergence of Ken Cooper, J Altidore.
Of course this can change but who holds the ball better up front consistently while establishing position and creating time. He is simple, holds it gives it and gets in the box.
Glenn
Glenn,
I have had this debate with numerous people on line, I understadn ching holds the ball and that may seem great for our “long ball/counter attack” system, but seriously, since when does a forward have the duty to “hold the ball”? That’s a midfielder or attacking mid’s job, a forwards job is to score, he doesn’t score very often for the US, when he does, he has silly little deflections of his rear from a Mastroeni shot or someones corner kick header in front of the goal. Altidore and Cooper are much better and need to be prepared for the World Cup among other things, Altidore had a masterpiece in Houston vs Mexico, Cooper 2 goals in 3 games, and lets not forget Charlie Davies, he is playing great in Sweeden. I’m willing to say that Edson Buddle might do better given a chance, this is the memory I have of Ching, last year in Chicago for the Gold Cup’s finals vs Mexico he did all the hard things shoke Sanchez off of him and with an OPEN goal, he missed it wide, that sums up Chings ability as a forward, what do you think?
Based on the forwards produced in the U.S. currently believe it or not I think choices are made up front not necessarily on who is the best goal scorer. Will this change?
Of course you need forwards that can “hold” the ball deep in the attacking third to enable the rest of your team to get up the field and provide support
It is difficult on midfielders who play into forwards who can’t hold the ball. Ching is amongst the best at this.
I am in total agreement that others need to be given opportunity to find out what they have and all you have mentioned fit that category.
Clearly Bob Bradley was not confident enough in those players for World Cup qualifying key matches.
If Altidore is not a starter at the World Cup in 2010 I would consider it a failure and missed opportunity. He needs to be fast tracked.
Go back to Ching’s performance in that match and you will realize he is one of the reasons the U.S. turned the game around and won.
Ricardo Clark as well. He was excellent.
I believe Edwin he hit the post.
Great post.
