THOUGHTS:
1.) CROATIA/SPAIN and ITALY AND IRELAND
More great group finale action today on Espn . Particularly interested in Croatia and Spain and how these two teams differ tactically and how they will match up.
2.) ENTERTAINMENT and PERFORMANCE DIFFER
That is the take-away from the Dynamo v. FC Dallas game. This was the most entertaining MLS game of the year at BBVA Compass and was shown off on national tv by Espn.
The reason being it was an open game and the Dynamo did have trouble with the pace of Jackson and Fabian Castillo.
WIll coaches be totally happy? Of course not but for fan entertainment this was a good one!!

Lest any of us forget, Houston is still in 6th place in the East, and in terms of overall points, is tied for 9th place [at 19 pts] in the league. Yes, I know some one team has played 16 games, one at 15, the rest at 14ish… Our leading goal scorer [Bruin at 6] has roughly half that of the league’s leader [Wondo at 11], our leading assist player hasn’t made the league’s top 25, and our leading shot taker [Bruin] is #10 in the league.
I don’t know what it’s going to take to turn this team around, I don’t know if Boniek is going to the flaming inferno he’s being promoted as, I don’t know if Dom will ever instill an attacking mentality to this team. I do know that if we keep playing like we’ve been playing, I won’t be seeing a team wearing orange at the MLS Cup [and maybe not even in the post-season].
Talk about that tonight, talk about what’s going to happen to this team down the road if they keep playing like they’ve been playing. They should beat Toronto on Wednesday, but I thought we were going to beat Vancouver as well…
Can it get any worse for TFC?? Week into Mariner run, team drops yet another game, then 3 players busted in your fair city for apparent late night antics.
