We all know the dream for many professional soccer players in the United States is to play in Europe.
How could it not be? The wealthiest and most popular leagues in the world are in England, Spain, Germany and Italy.
Why then would you not think that many MLS players have their eye on Europe and that shot at the holy grail?
Some have hit it big, signing with clubs in the English Premier League. Who can forget when MetroStars goalkeeper Tim Howard signed with Manchester United in 2003? Howard was named the EPL’s top goalkeeper in his first season. Now at Everton, Howard is among the top keepers in the league.
