Here is why I am in pain……………..

As I sit here writing this blog above me on monitor I am watching the World Club Championship match between Atlante and yes Barcelona.
So why am I in pain? Because simple this is a competition that MLS needs and should be in on a more regular basis.
You remember when the Dynamo defeated Atlante right?
How great would it be for an MLS team or more specifically in our case the Dynamo playing in Abu Dubai in front of a world audience!
How amazing would this be for MLS and the city of Houston ? How unbelievable would this have been for the marketing of the Dynamo to international fans in our city that have yet to become supporters of the Dynamo.
I am hoping that one day MLS will enable it’s teams to truly compete and win the Concacaf Champions Cup so as to be regular participants in the World Club Championships and get in real competitive matches against Barcelona and other world powers!!

Well, Glenn, here is something to cheer you up… Beas is back! Yep, DaMarcus Beasley is getting some playing time with Rangers lately and he played a great game yesterday (essentially the full game) scoring the first and setting up the 3rd Rangers goal. I saw a clip on BBC (I live in Europe) and he played on the right and his goal was a a great shot from out wide to the far post.

We really need him back in form for the World Cup; we have a serious dearth of left-footed players and with his speed he could make a big impact. The question is, will he keep up the good form? We’ll see! As per the Rangers website, Mo Edu is close to getting back on the field as well, so he could also be a contributor come World Cup time.

Thanks for those updates Martin…I am not one ready to write off DaMarcus Beasley. Great news!!!

Spurs vs. City today from White Hart Lane at 2pm

Glenn, I share your pain, it’s a shame New York couldn’t try to salvage their season and beat W Connection? WTH and get into the group stages of CCL, a shame that the Dynamo allowed Arabe Unido to tie the game by resting some starters, come on guys in the top leagues in the world if you’re a top team you play 2 games a week for some time, don’t give the exhaustion excuse!

Shame that DC didn’t handle the Honduras team better, shame that after Toronto pulled a miracle to be Canadian champion they let Puerto Rico keep their CCL good form

I am hopeful that Seattle and LAG will do great despite needing to beat a team in a 2 leg playoff to get into group play, RSL and Crew should be able to contend to get thru the quarter finals, TFC should be able to get into the mix again as well!

    Lets hope for the best!

Glenn you never said who’d you like to see at the USMNT camp next month? I’m getting my tickets vs Honduras tommorrow because I was there for El Salvador vs Costa Rica and it was packed 27,000 +!
I saw Honduras vs Guatemala and easily there were 55,000+ about half of each, so I expect a full house!

I expect to see Geoff Cameron, Stuart Holden, Ricardo Clark if he’s not in Europe already I kind of don’t want to see Ching since I know what he can give us rather see Casey but as long as only one goes I’ll be happy, also hope 2 Galaxy defenders get picked as well, the 2 Rookie of the Year winners Omar Gonzalez and Sean Franklin

I’m also hoping to see Michael Orozco of San Luis and Jose Fransisco Torres of Pachuca since they have no commitmets with their clubs?

I want to see Geoff Cameron, Holden, Robbie Findley, Torres, Orozco,Castillo to mention a few.
