Come Saturday when the Dynamo take on the Montreal Impact I am expecting a continuation of the second half performance against NE that could possibly be the impetus for improved Dynamo play down the stretch.
This makes them a dangerous animal and other clubs around the league no it.
A few things to ponder:
1.) BETTER SQUAD-the depth of this squad is better and more competitive than the club that went to last year’s MLS Cup Final. The real question is can it achieve now in the later stages and build off this NE performance.
Acquiring Oscar Boniek Garcia by itself has made this a better team.
2.) HEALTH-the Dynamo are in good shape in this area at this stage of the season with no real health issues outside of the normal knocks from a long season.
3.) HAPPINESS-they say a happy team is a winning team. Seeing the emotion and the smile of Boniek Garcia and his teammates this past weekend reminds us that professional teams need to find ways to enjoy their football.
4.) INDIVIDUAL RE-EMERGENCE- A few players come to mind. Cam Weaver has been out of the picture much of the year but through Concacaf play and a will to continue to push to get in the lineup he has produced. This player deserves alot of credit and has played himself back into consideration up front with his NE performance.
Adam Moffat has fought off the injury bug and a sluggish period and has looked to have found the perfect partner in Rico Clark for the moment.
