Five burning soccer thoughts

Here are my latest five burning soccer thoughts:

1.) CORINTHIANS WIN FIRST COPA LIBERTADORES
The Brazilian club beat Argentina’s Boca Jrs. 2-0 in Sao Paulo to win the final
3-1 on aggregate. Not only did they beat Santos and Neymar on the way to
it’s title but it did not lose in 14 matches.
As much as Brazilian football is about attacking if you watched last night on
Fox Deportes the defending game proved vital.

2.) HOLDEN CONTINUES RE-HAB
The former Dynamo midfielder remains in Delaware doing his training to try and get
his knee right so he can re-join Bolton in the Championship.
His twice a day re-hab has recently included some running.

3.) CAMERON TO ENGLAND
Closure to this will likely come very soon as the Dynamo def/mid has on offer on the
table from Stoke City and has interest from Everton whose scouts took in the Dynamo
game against the Philadelphia Union.
This is a win win for all involved and needs to get finishing for all parties involved.
What a story coming from the college game all the way to the EPL if it happens.
If it doesn’t you will likely have a very unhappy player and one wonders if this
opportunity would ever come along again.

4.) DYNAMO/SPORTING KC
The Dynamo head out tomorrow for Livestrong Sporting Park to take on Sporting KC.
Sporting KC come off a 3-1 win over Montreal on the road where they were awarded
two penalty kicks.
This will be an interesting match up with both Sporting KC in a 4-3-3 along with the
Dynamo in one recently.
What sort of player changes will both teams make on a short game turn-around?

5.) DYNAMO ON FOX SPORTS HOUSTON
The Dynamo will be on FSH at 7:30 this Saturday night. Join Eddie Robinson and
I for the call of the game.
