Ade Akinbiyi, a 34 year old striker last at Burnley is expected to join the Dynamo provided he passes a physical on Saturday.
The 6″1 Nigerian will not be a designated player and has been capped by Nigeria on one occasion while also playing for numerous clubs in England.
Akinbiyi was born in London and is a target player and comes under the radar a bit.
Akinbiyi according to Dynamo CEO Chris Cannetti provides the best option at this time for the Dynamo and does not break the bank.
Fans will be quick to judge Akinbiyi on his age and history of club hopping but that doesn’t prevent this from potentially being a good signing.
It may not have the bang of a higher profile player but then again if he starts scoring goals that will all be forgotten.
What do you think of the new Dynamo signing?

i think its great signing. yes he is 34 and hasnt been playing but i think with some minutes he will score goals. he is the type of player the dynamo need. a playmaker.
Leicester fans don’t seem to be to fond of this guy. Do you know anything about his career there? but, I have seen some videos of impressive things from this guy at other clubs. How do you think MLS will treat him as opposed to League 1?
As long as it doesn’t break the bank it can’t hurt in the short run.
I would have liked a good south american, but if they get him cheap, he might be worthwhile.
What about John Pelu? Dynamo going to sign him?
At first i thought this was a bad sign because he has been with so many clubs, but after reading further it seems like he was moved around because he is a hard worker and will play hard for any team. I think he should do well on the field as well as the locker room
I say give Ade a shot. Coach has brought in several under the radar players that helped us tremendously (and a few that didn’t pan out).
Anyone catch Dominic Kinnear in the Studio 90 video today on ussoccer.com showing USMNT goals vs. El Salvador? Check it out. Dom is the first featured goal, a header in a 1993 match. Check out the locks on that guy! Nice goal!
Who cares, find out from the Dynamo whats really going on with the stadium! What use is a new striker if the team is in St Louis in two years. Goes for any other team news.
