The Dynamo have resigned both Eddie Robinson and Richard Mulrooney.
Robinson spent last year dealing with a knee injury that kept him off the field. It was clear at time the ‘edge’ that Robinson brings to the game might have been missing.
Mulrooney got injured on the artificial surface at Qwest Field and missed a large portion of the season.
Their health and contributions could be vital to the upcoming Dynamo season for a variety of reasons. A healthy strong Robinson could partner Bobby Boswell enabling coach Dominic Kinnear to have the option of moving Geoff Cameron into midfield.
Mulrooney has been valuable both as a central midfield player and a right back. His ability to play both positions a great fall-back for the Dynamo and a quick solution to filling out a lineup card.
Dominic Kinnear has been at the Copa Chivas tournament in Guadalajara.

Great news, as expected.
Have you heard the latest rumor on the stadium front? From Ch13, Dynamo looking at stadium site near Galleria: http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=7240711
Something or not? This would actually be better for me and my part of town! Less wheels to grease, too.
Finally some news about a Dynamo stadium. It wouldn’t bother me to have a stadium in the Galleria area, as long as something gets done. The Dynamo need a stadium.
Mission accomplished?
And great to hear some news of the team. I hope Mulls still wears the face shield, just so he can look like a bank robber. And “Edgy” Robinson – yes, please.
Good to hear about E Rob and Mulrooney considering the gutting our midfield just took.
As for the “potential” of a Galleria area stadium, it might not be a bad idea, we will just have to wait and see all of the in’s and out’s. Also this could be used as a way to get Silvia and Franco off of there duffs to get a move on the Hwy 59 location. If anything this can be used as a move it or loose it to the 2 aformentioned council members.
“Putting all the other offers aside, it was a no-brainer because Bolton Wanders were the only option for me” – S. Holden, off the Bolton team website.
Other offers aside ? Really ? Who would that be ? Oh yeah, MLS’s $400K…
Thank goodness for Mulrooney. Have always admired his game. And we all know ERob brings it.
Forget about the public investment, it will take forever, the Galleria is a good side too, almost foreign visitors when they come to Houston to shop, they go to the Galleria. The public officials who hold up the deal will never realize if the stadium is built in the Galleria, they will generate a lot of revenue. IF the sadium if built completely by private money, they will be done under TWO YEARS. Trust me!
Finally, we hear something positive on all fronts. The signing of Erob and Mulrooney, assuming both are healthy is awsesome news for the Orange. This new proposed stadium location is interesting. If nothing else, it can serve as a bartering tool for the site on 59. In any case, looks like things are moving forward. I still feel the Orange have not stopped shopping for other players. An agressive midfielder than can pass will be a nice addition. Can’t wait to see how all this unfolds. Go Orange!
Love the Robinson and Mulrooney deals. The type of bread-and-butter guys we should be able to count on throughout the season. Hopefully their injury woes are behind them. About the stadium, I like the location. Its next to 2 major freeways and as long as traffic is okay (a big “if” when talking about a place next to the Galleria that will be used mainly on weekends), it should be accessible to all.
But, its not a bad location. Would much prefer the one downtown but if that’s not an option, this is good.
Speaking of Americans abroad…Landon Donovan scores for Everton in today’s match against Sunderland. Good for LD.
