Dynamo real rival now is Sporting KC/ Dynamo control destiny

The Houston Dynamo draw at Sporting KC could be considered revealing.
The result a good one but might in some ways be a bit painful giving up a goal in stoppage time that if avoided would have given the “Orange” the full three points at a tough place to play Livestrong Sporting Park.

It is clear now that the real Dynamo arch-rival has developed into Sporting KC because of the history in playoffs, play in the same conference and connections between two very passionate coaches.
Do we even think of FC Dallas as the Houston rival anymore?

THE MATCH:

BRAD DAVIS: The Brad Davis goal was a beauty to put the Dynamo up.
Once again the supplier was Boniek Garcia whose value to this team is through the roof. Love how these two are complimenting each other but skill players generally are attracted to each other.

TALLY HALL: Super, super , super at Sporting. Huge saves kept the Dynamo in points and had them positioned to steal the three.
He has eleven shutouts and is enjoying a wonderful season.

LOOSE DEFENDING: Set piece marking was very loose at times and scary.
During the run of play it was suspect at times as well and the Dynamo will look to improve this area. If not for better finishing from Sporting this game could have looked very different.

FAVORABLE SCHEDULE: THe Dynamo will play Philly twice, NE, Colorado along with Champions League play beginning on Thursday against FAS. It is time for them to get ready to go on their run and find their “best” game once injury and fatigue can be reigned in. It is all about timing as we were reminded last year but the Dynamo are positioned well.
