Dynamo playoff scenarios/ Landon Donovan to retire/ Efrain Flores to Chivas USA

The Dynamo will finish their regular season MLS schedule on Saturday at Colorado.
The following are the playoff scenarios:

HOUSTON CLINCHES 5th PLACE IN EASTERN CONFERENCE IF:
*Dynamo win, lose, or tie vs. Colorado
*Chicago wins or ties vs. DC
*New York wins vs. Philly

HOUSTON CLINCHES 4TH PLACE IN EASTERN CONFERENCE IF:
*Dynamo win against Colorado and…..New York loses or ties Philly, Chicago wins or ties against DC

HOUSTON CLINCHES 3Rd PLACE IN EASTERN CONFERENCE IF:
*Dynamo beat Colorado and New York ties or losses vs. Philly and Chicago loses vs DC United.

LANDON DONOVAN TO RETIRE
Recent article has revealed that Landon Donovan is having real motivation problems currently as a professional soccer player. He clearly in my mind is the greatest attacking talent produced for the U.S. National team and has done it all in MLS plus had two very effective stints for Everton on loan.
Donovan has mentioned that he would like to get into broadcasting.
Personally I hope he can find his motivation because the U.S. National team needs him and is a different team with him.
Thoughts?

IMPORTANCE OF ADVANCING IN CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
The Dynamo struck an important blow for their franchise by getting to the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a draw against Olimpia.
Many pulse tells me that many fans want real success in this tournament from the Dynamo and MLS and are tired of seeing Mexican Clubs get to head to the World Club Championships to play against the European Champions.
It is essential for MLS to compete inclusively on the big stage and winning this tournament has to become a priority for clubs and MLS poor officiating or not.

HONDURAN FANS MAKE STATEMENT
The mix at the Dynamo/Olimpia game seemed 50-50 with Dynamo and Honduran fans.
The night was wonderful, loud, colorful and very unique and those that attended felt the nationalistic pride and the tension for a result that would advance a team forward.
It clearly was different from the feel of an MLS game and that is because of the nature of the international opponent.
Thank you Honduran fans for bringing your passion and thank you Dynamo fans for matching it and responding. Awesome!!
Hopefully these Honduran fans will follow the Dynamo and Oscar Boniek Garcia in big numbers which is another great takeaway from this game.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UPSET
How about Ajax beating Man City? Is Roberto Mancini on the “hot seat” now?
Arsenal got beat by Schalke while the “Special One” or the “Only one” got taken down by Dortmund 2-1.
Incidentally Dortmund center back Nevin Subotic a former u20 U.S. player is the one that got away. He chose to represent Serbia over the United States internationally.
The 23 year old might have been the perfect partner for Geoff Cameron at the heart of the U.S. defense for the future.
