The lack of killer instict in 11 tie matches might be the reason why the Dynamo are sitting in a precarious playoff position.
Still in my mind they are favorites to move forward and with a win against Philadelphia Union on national tv at 6:30 pm the Dynamo might just breathe a sigh of relief.
All eyes will also be on the Columbus at DC match tomorrow as well as the Crew are one point behind the Dynamo. Just win.
The Union defeated the Dynamo in Philly 3-1 recently yet it was the Dynamo who knocked the Union out of the playoffs last year. New manager John Hackworth and his club are out of the playoffs but young players are trying to make an impression on the coach.
Key man Philly: Carlos Valdes and Brian Carroll-sure I hear about the youth on the Union but these two veterans are up the “spine” of the team and are essential.
Valdes has been playing in South American World Cup qualifying for Colombia while Carroll is a two time MLS Cup winner with both DC United and Columbus.
Carroll helps to set the tone in midfield and will fight the turn battle with Dynamo Ricardo Clark and Adam Moffat.
Dynamo key men: Brad Davis, Oscar Boniek Garcia
The creative ideas are generated from these two who are essential to the Dynamo.
They love to play off each other and both have a wonderful skill set though I would say Boniek Garcia is more of a two way player than Brad Davis.
Against Montreal will realized how badly missed Davis was off set pieces.
Both bring skill, ideas, energy and excitement to a game.
Essential to the Dynamo, yes they both are.
Butts in seats
Sell outs are great which is what this game is but it does not comprehend with the public if they see empty seats. Simple solution, if you are not going make sure somebody else is. Pass on your tickets and lets put “butts in seats” so that 5000 empty seats are not empty.
Lets help push the Dynamo over the top with a great atmosphere!!!
