Dynamo look to regain “edge” against Real Salt Lake/ Help fight against Childrens Cancer

When the Dynamo went on the their 6-0-2 run after acquiring Honduran designated player Boniek Garcia one thing was clearly evident. This was a team that hunted the ball when it was lost. A team that got great pressure on the ball within the 4-3-3.

Transition is that few seconds when possession changes.
What players do during that time period is vital. All it takes is to get a few players taking plays off, not reacting, not thinking quickly during this phase and a team chan

Tonight the Dynamo look to get that “edge” back against Real Salt Lake.
The squad also look to rebound off a game against Chicago where poor early decisions made them chase the game on the evening.

Despite the fact that both teams will be be missing up to four players due to international commitment, the game holds huge value in the fight for playoff spots.
RSL has been in nightmare in Texas and are 0-7-1 all time against the Dynamo.

RSL: They are unbeaten in their last three games and 2nd in the Western Conference.
Expect manager Jason Kreis to re-insert the irritating but effective and dangerous Argentine Fabian Espindola in the starting lineup in place of leading scorer Alvaro Saborio.
Espindola will look to connect with fellow countryman Javier Morales who pulls the creative strings.
They will have to make huge change in midfield in the absence of Kyle Beckermann and Will Johnson called up to US and Canada respectively. Could the Dynamo take advantage of this area? Luis GIl, Yordy Alvarez, Jonny Steel could be options here for RSL.
Nick Rimando will be with RSL before heading to join the US National team.

DYNAMO: With RSL in a 4-4-2 with diamond shaped midfield the Dynamo could slip right back into the 4-4-2 or continue on in a 4-3-3.
The biggest area to look at will be at the back where Andre Hainault, Jermaine Taylor both are off to Canada and Jamaica internationally.
The Dynamo due to attrition might look like this at the back: Sarkodie, Sturgis, Boswell, Ashe.
Warren Creavalle and Adam Moffat are both out to injury.
The Dynamo clearly want to get back to the simplicity of the game through good possession and good pressure on the ball when the opponent has it.

CHANGE:
With both teams making numerous changes this game is a night of opportunity for those getting important minutes. How these players perform likely can be the difference.

It looks like the guys will have to dig deep to get any kind of pts v RSL.
Our transition game has almost disappeared this year. When we changed to a 4-5-1 and added more speed to the lineup things improved.
The Dynamo attack will need to get behind the defense something that we struggled to do the last few matches some combination play between the strikers and midfield is needed too.
I hope the young dynamo academy keeper ( Pina) will have a chance to talk to the RSL keeper. Short guys can play keeper and do a good job.
Lets win and keep the streak going
