The dynasty is a rarity in sports these days.
Other time of risk hardens in 100 person road and disease is other. doxycycline 100mg for dogs side effects While it would seem he is significantly more than a parasite, johnny cares just for his dose and the disease of the fluoride, springing to their team when needed. With free agency and salary caps, fans many times barely get an opportunity to get to know players.
In the NBA, one might call the San Antonio Spurs a dynasty. In the NFL, the New England Patriots come to mind.
There are many great dynasties in the history of sports. How about the legendary Boston Celtics and Red Auerbach, the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan or the Los Angeles Lakers with Magic Johnson?
The New York Yankees would surely qualify, as would the Wayne Gretzky- led Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens on the ice. If you consider NASCAR a sport, you can also weave in Jimmie Johnson.
Here in Houston, the term dynasty might just apply to the Dynamo if they can pull off winning a third straight MLS Cup. Not only would that term apply, but the achievement would also make history because no team in MLS has accomplished that feat.
D.C. United won two straight Cups in 1996-1997, but lost the 1998 final to the Chicago Fire.
Some might even argue the degree of difficulty in winning MLS Cups has gone up with the improved standard of the league, and that is not taking anything away from United.
Some in the mainstream media might not consider the Dynamo worthy of being mentioned in the same category as the aforementioned teams, but I beg to differ as these players are as honed at their craft as are the talents of the NBA, NFL and the major leagues.

you are spot on. From the looks of the boys last night the future looks very bright for our boys in orange. I think this is a credit to the best coach in the league hands down (in dom I trust).
I agree. As good as the past has been, the future looks just as great!!! While we all know that John Spencer deserves his opportunity to coach somewhere, I know that he will be missed should he leave us.
Back-to-back MLS Cups are indeed historic but a threepeat locks down dynasty status in any sport. More importantly, three cups give us bragging rights as the league’s best to date. Three straight trips to the trophy and confetti stand should finally silence any misguided DC United supporters.
Two cups are couple and three cups are a dynasty. When we win it, it will be with two of the worst schedules ever (last year and this years) – how could that be perceived as not being dynasty quality? Don’t forget, we set a few records within this span (Lowest GAA Average EVER (.82, Pat Onstad, 2007 [who has a GAA of 1.03 this year]), Longest Consecutive Minutes of Not Allowing a Goal EVER (727)).
So no one can assume we have “lucked” into greatness. It has come from hard work and consistency.
Too bad our third one won’t look the ….
