i think the dynamo deserve to be known as a dynasty. the core of the team has been together for a while and they won back to back championships. hakeem olajuwon’s rockets won back to back championships on so they deserved to be called a dynasty…the astros “killer B’s dynasty” never won anything but a trip to the world series which they lost and still theyre considered a dynasty. so if winning nothing gets you titled as a dynasty, i beleive that a team that won back to back championships and a third consecutive trip to the playoffs definately deserves the title of a dynasty.
Of course they are a dynasty. Back to back in a league that is just beginning to build tradition is the definition of dynasty. The Packers won the first 2 Super Bowls and I don’t think that anyone would dispute their dynasty tag. At this point the only back to back champions in Houston have been the Rockets. In terms of Houston, they are as well.
By the way, Argentina, ARE YOU KIDDING! I wouldn’t give Maradona the keys to my car much less the national team. Argentina will qualify through just pure talent. What Argentina needs is a coach that will bring the team together and learn how to meld the best 11 into a team. They don’t need a guy who can out run them to keg, teach them how to use a crack pipe and has stories about how great he was. Just saying “I was great go win for me” isn’t going to cut it. They need someone that can tell them what to do at the half when they are down a goal, away, to a great Brazil side. Waving your arms and saying play harder for the shirt isn’t going to do it. I have heard him prognosticate before and unless the translation was way off, this guy ain’t no genius. He strikes me as a loud mouth drunk that was yesterday’s hero, not a leader of men.
Larry lets not forget that the COMETS also won back to back to back to back championships for this city. But the DYNAMO should be consider a dynasty for all their accomplishments in houston and san jose.

With all due respect Ramiro, you’re havin’ a laugh. NOBODY considers the Astros a “dynasty”. We in Houston may look at Bagwell and Biggio as Astro legends but outside of Houston, and by outside, I mean about as far as Tomball, the Astros are and have always been a non-story. Even in their World Series year, the national media gave them no respect and they deservedly got worked in four straight games. The Dynamo are 2 for 2, and the Astros are 0-for-a half century. The Earthquakes-Dynamo are a legit dynasty since the core group has won not two, but FOUR MLS Cups.
