Glen,
After watching the games this weekend. Do you see the MLS expanding as a good idea? The quality and depth is just not there (unless MLS is willing to expand the cap), just watching some of these games were dreadful and just plain boring. I don’t see how this will work out for the better of the league, teams are just not putting enough quality out there(and also do not play an attacking brand of soccer)to make the games entertaining enough to grab non-soccer fans attentions and convert them. If the Dynamo, Chivas USA, DC first team, Crew (and sometimes LA, Chicago, and Colorado) are not playing it is very hard to watch.
Are there going to be anyone live shows on location anywhere?
Brent at 30 million a pop for the franchises, the ability to raise the cap will be there. Also the nationally expanded markets by going into already represented areas like the Pacific Northwest (Seattle) and the MidAtlantic (DC United) will build natural rivalries. Exposure will bring money, hopefully the money goes into bringing better quality play and not into owners’ pockets for short term gains. Glenn, What is the status of ERob and Mulrooney for tomorrow night’s match? If NEITHER is available, could you ask Dom tonight what are his plans? (Cameron, Mullan?) I am actually more confident in our midfield and forward competence against Pachuca than our “D”.
