Christian Gimenez to Cruz Azul / Donovan to Everton on loan…….

Ok Cruz Azul fans. Pachuca’s Christian Gimenez is on his way to Mexico City.
It will be the fourth Mexican club for the Argentine who has also played in Argentina for Boca Jrs., Independiente and Union.
Is this the move that can finally help Cruz Azul win it’s first title in 12 years?
Cruz Azul lost the 2009 Apertura title to Monterrey this past weekend.
Gimenez is an excellent player and both a finisher and one that can open up a game with his ideas and skill set.

Landon Donovan has re-signed with the LA Galaxy but will go on loan to Everton and manager David Moyes in the EPL.
Donovan will join fellow U.S. national team teammate Tim Howard in the top flight and this will be something to see.
My hope is that Donovan can make some noise in the EPL.
Everton is lying low in the EPL in 15th place and Donovan will join the “Toffees” in early January.

Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis presented by Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute will return to Fox Sports Houston in January on the 14th.
Just taking a little break !!! Have you seen the show and do you like it?

My heart broke when I heard the rumors and now that he left I am devastated…Pachuca made a mistake; it has become clear that now in soccer all that matters is money!

    Good luck PrimaDonovan!

Glenn -See that KC Wiz ownership has reassured fan base that new stadium is a go. Apparently bond issue cleared. Will be good to see another soccer specific stadium come to fruition.
Kudos to FC Dallas- Darrio Sala for making it to your camp. Do you see FC Dallas staying with Sala steady? If so, would not be surprised if Rev’s ( Reis expected to be out up to 6 months after recent operation) make move to acquire Ray Burse. I really think Burse can be top notch keeper, if given week in and week out starting role.
Also wondered what has become of D.J. Countess??
Came into MLS with big build up back in 2002 or 2003 and struggled. Hav’nt heard from him since

I am rooting for Donovan to do well for Everton. I think every other American player who wants to play in the EPL is rooting for him also.

If he succeeds I think a lot of US and fans around the world will look at MLS differently. I am sure the MLS also wants for him to succeed in the EPL.

I went to a coaches conference when David Moyes and Everton was here. I was very impressed with him. People were asking him how we should develop young players and he turned it around and he said he wanted to know how the US was developing youth players. He didn’t think the EPL youth Academy teams were producing good youth players under their multi-million dollar setups.

Burse needs more games to prove himself out and gain further experience at the postion but he has some tools.
Pachuca fans have to be devasted about losing Gimenez……thanks for watching the program!
