Captain Davis could be out Saturday/ Real Madrid v. Barca

When the injury report came out yesterday the alarm bells sounded.
Captain Brad Davis could miss out this weekend against Montreal with a calf injury. This after lots of discussion that the Dynamo were injury free.
How quick things can change.

Davis has a calf injury suffered in training on Tuesday but I would not count him out just yet.
With Davis such a vital element out wide in the 4-4-2 could a change of system potentially happen again? In my humble opinion not likely .

The Dynamo have options in midfield with Colin Clark, Giles Barnes, JeVaughan Watson as straight swaps out wide for Davis .
To continue to speculate, Boniek Garcia could be moved to the left with Calen Carr coming in on the right side in midfield.

Another option exists in moving Cory Ashe into midfield and Andre Hainault in at left back. Point is options exist and at this time of the year the manager can have a huge influence when it comes to picking the right team in situations like this.

More on Montreal tomorrow and Saturday but they are hungry, not out of the playoffs officially and have numerous players that are a goal threat.

BARCELONA V. REAL MADRID
Lets not forget that this classic is this Sunday so starting making your plans for a great soccer weekend. First the Dynamo at home Saturday night and then on to these historic clubs battling it out.
Lionel Messi and Barcelona currently top the La Liga table with 18 points. Real Madrid sit in sixth and have only 10 pts so this is almost a must win at this stage of the season remarkably.
The game will also feature a very “sad” Cristiano Ronaldo who scored three very “sad” goals last weekend. He will be up for the moment.

CLUB AMERICA v. CHIVAS
The Superclassico is at 5pm on Saturday and you can view it and still make it out to BBVA Compass for the Dynamo and Montreal.
Club America is 4th in the overall table while Chivas is 11th. Chivas has struggled to score goals in this Liga MX campaign.

Looks like we will see if Watson has improved this season.
Will be interesting to see what formation we will be in.
I hope the dynamo staff and Kinnear will learn to sub more so guys will not wear out and get hurt.
    Go Dynamo

Davis injured his thigh at practice, not in a game. Not sure if it was the same thigh as last year or not.

And where was Watson last Saturday? I didn’t even see him on the bench or the injured list.

That being said I like mixing it up in a big way at the end of this season, but switching formations late in the second half. 4-4-2 in the first half, then about 10 minutes into the second half switch on the fly to a 4-3-3. The opponent defense is starting to fatigue a little and they aren’t expecting the change and struggle to adjust.

The switch to 4-3-3 caused a lot of confusion for opponents earlier leading to our streak. Now they’ve adjusted and we’re struggling a bit. The Orange know the two formations well by now and should be able to make a change on the fly further confusing opponents in these final games (on our way to the MLS Championship). A orange fan can hope right?
