U.S. National team coach Bob Bradley has selected Dynamo players Eddie Robinson, Brian Mullan , and Ricardo Clark for the upcoming January training camp roster that will begin workouts on January 4.
The group will be preparing for the U.S.A.’s first games of 2007 vs. Denmark on Jan. 20 .
Two out of three starting Dynamo midfielders eligible for the U.S. National team were selected reminding us of the strength that the MLS Cup Champions have in that area of the field.
Defender Eddie Robinson also was selected and will bid along with his teammates to make an impression in a time of opportunity at the international level with such stalwarts as Eddie Pope, Claudio Reyna, and Brian Mcbride retiring after the last World Cup.
All proven entities at the MLS level the talented four have will look to make an impression during this national team cycle that leads to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The selections are great reward for the Dynamo and the city of Houston.

where’s one of the best closers and player Brian (Ching) no respect
Glenn,
I didn’t see Brad Davis’ name on the list. Do you know something we don’t know?
Also, for those who don’t know already, it has been reported that Ching was invited but declined in order to rest his ailing knee.
Brad Davis did not get picked this was my mistake.
After his performance against Chivas USA in the playoffs I was in assumption mode. Surprising.
He is one technically gifted player that I would love to see figure it out at the international level.
I have issued myself a yellow card.
Glenn
Bradly is the one that needs to be carded. Davis is by far one of the best mid-fielders in the league. He’s a huge presence in the midfield. He distributes the ball as well as anyone. Davis is the reason Ching and Dalglish look good. Lets not forget who orchestrated Ching’s bicycle kick heard round the world (or at least all over our nation’s capital), and who was on the other end of at least 3 of Waibs’s goals. Not to mention Davis was tied for the league lead in assists.
Also…it’s a shame that De Rosario doesn’t play for the US. Could you imagine the strength of that midfield?
correction:
Davis along with De Rosario and Clark is why the Ching and Dalglish look good. but seriously…Mulls over Davis on the U.S. team?
Thanks for the correction, Glenn. I even heard you say it on the radio last night when you were interviewing Bob Bradley and he didn’t even correct you so I had my fingers crossed that maybe they just accidentally left him off the press release or something. He definitely deserves to be there and perhaps will be called up as a replacement midfielder if/when Dempsey and/or Mastroeni move to Europe in January (per the rumor mill).
Here’s hoping Ching is fully healed so he is on the squad for the US vs. Mexico match.
Chris,
Brad Davis is apparently getting married in January so I don’t know if that plays into the equation.
He was traded from the Metrostars when Bob Bradley was there….A player of that skill level has to get another look from the national team.
Hope you enjoyed the show last night.
Glenn
