*Only saw highlights of yesterday’s All Star game but it sure looked good in Toronto. The concept of playing a foreign team is a good one because it elicits effort and seriousness out of MLS players. That desire to prove is what is growing this league.
Got a handful of emails saying the TORONTO fans booed the U.S. National Anthem…….did this happen?
*DWAYNE DEROSARIO drew a penalty kick and then converted the ensuing spot chance hitting it off the underside of the cross-bar. DeRosario in a deep position up front reminds us that he has been the best compliment to Brian Ching. KEI KAMARA is now a Dynamo. He has not been a consistent goal scorer in MLS by any means but has some athletic qualities and can move……Will the Dynamo environment take him to a higher ground?
*DYNAMO SOCCER REPORT with GLENN DAVIS is tonite on CHANNEL 55 at 9:30pm. All star game highlights, a look back at the Dynamo/Pachuca rivalry, the best of MLS highlights up to this point in the season plus we here from you the fan.
Soccer fans go to Houston’s55.com, click on the Dynamo Soccer Report and send us an email of what you would like covered on the show. If you have a good community based idea or piece either youth or adult oriented let me know. We aim to cover our game locally as well. gdavis98@swbell.net
*We all kind of new this would happen and I am sure that MLS got involved to broker the deal but expect BRIAN MCBRIDE to head to CHICAGO to play for the FIRE. After the OLYMPICS that is…….Pretty enticing having Cuauhtemoc BLANCO (ALL STAR MVP) scheming and creating with Mcbride in front of him.
Your thoughts on the ALL STAR GAME, Dynamo Soccer Report, McBride and KAMARA…….

Hopefully Kamara flourishes in our system. It will be nice to have a little speed to burn in the last 20 minutes of games. Although it seems like our last few acquistitions, barring Jacqua, are just wasting time….Carracio, Kpene, Brown, etc., when others are adding Blanco, Mcbride, Angel etc., seems like we are spinning our wheels from time to time. That said, I do trust the front office and coaching staff – they have earned that, plus we seem to be turning the scoring corner. The West is still wide open and we are in good position to push through.
The all-stars looked the part last night. It never really seemed to be in doubt despite the score.
Now bring on Pachuca….
spinning our wheels are you serious O. You go try and put together a quality team with a 2.2 million doller cap, or even better tell me where we have room in our cap to add a Blanco, McBride, or Angel. We couldn’t even keep Carracio cause he made to much money. In Dom I trust!!!
FOREVER ORANGE
I wonder if maybe Palermo from Boca Junior is a thought???
Kamara is Generation Addidas, did he play in that European tour they did over the winter that Dom Coached> I assume he did, and if so Dom certainly knows what he is getting, and must see something he liked.
Maybe Dom has come to the conclusion that he can influence Joseph Ngwenya to come back to Houston by signing Kamara. According to a Goal.com interview, they are acquaintances if not friends. Being from Sierra Leone, Kamara is probably accustomed to the heat. Every time I saw Franco play he seemed to have an 800 pound humidity and heat gorilla on his back that affected his ability run with the ball.
Watched the MLS versus West Ham game, but I’d be more interested it they configured it like they do in baseball, football, or basketball. Certainly there is enough quality players in MLS these days to field 18 guys from the Western Conf and 18 from the East. Who would not have liked to see Juan Pablo, Reis, and Blanco battling Beckham, Onstadt, and Cooper ?
Maybe Kamara can find his stroke here.
I was wondering how we will lineup against Pachuca with Holden and Ianni gone off to olympic team and Robinson suffering hamstring injury, plus Mulrooney has been injured, I’m concerned about the back line against a creative Pachuca team. How do you see us lining up, will DeRo stay at striker, or drop back to midfield now Holden is gone, or you think he stays up with Cameron filling in the middle? Who starts on Def, I guess we go to 3 in the back with Barrett, Boswell, and Waibel. You think Karma will play? Thoughts….
