Many fans have been confused to the Adrian Serioux situation being traded away from Houston.
Serioux wanted a return to Canada a Toronto according to head coach Dominic Kinnear who did not protect him.
Fact is that Toronto FC coach Mo Johnston was probably using Serioux as trade bait all along and when FC Dallas midfielder Ronnie O’Brien became available Serioux was dealt. Serioux has said all along that he doesn’t want to play in Dallas so one wonders why FC Dallas signed off on the deal. The other question is who agreed to the deal?
GM Michael Hitchcock or interim coach Steve Morrow? Why would you seal the deal on Serioux not knowing he didn’t want to play in Dallas. My only thought here is if you wanted to use him as trade bait and you wanted Ronnie O’Brien out of Dallas . OBrien carried the stigma of not a great locker room guy in Dallas.
Alot could happen with Serioux, MLS players have retired early not to play in a specific market, who knows he could end up right back here in Houston? Your guess is as good as mine.
