#1 Maryland v. #2 UNC, Arena speaks out, Dynamo updates and “butts in seats”.

Tonight #1 Maryland takes on #2 UNC who are also the defending national champions in mens soccer in College Park, Maryland.
The game is televised on Espn U starting at 5 cst and I am looking forward to calling this game with former U.S. Womens national team coach Tony DiCicco.
There are a number of very talented soccer players on both teams and players of MLS potential.
Apparently, ten MLS clubs will be represented at this game tonight assessing players.
Sasho Cirovski has built a wonderful program at Maryland and UNC coach Carlos Samoano hails from Clear Lake outside of Houston and in his first year led the Tar Heels to the national title.
Samoano played soccer at Bayland Park under Dragos Mena in his days as a youth.
Another tie to Houston on the national scene tonight.

BRUCE ARENA DOESN’T GIVE A BLEEP
Got this from Soccer America.
Speaking to LAGALAXY.com LA manager Bruce Arena was asked about past losses after being ahead to rivals the San Jose Earthquakes. His response was rather interesting:

“I am not troubled at all by those two games at this point in my life. I’m moving on, I was not happy in the short term with those games, but now Iv’e put it past me, I’m looking for greater things in life.
I had a grandchild born, we are in the middle of a heating presidential debate, the U.S. lost a difficult Ryder Cup, the Yankees were hanging on for life so I don’t really give two sh__s about the last time we played San Jose.”

Well lets hope Bruce Arena gives a sh__ this weekend because if a leader in the sport doesn’t care why should others.
San Jose/LA has a tremendous rivalry and many of the games over history have been punctuated by amazing comebacks and Landon Donovan has been on both sides of it.
Looking forward to this one Sunday on Galavision.

Lets fill it, lets turn the corner with game day attendance!!!!

Brad Davis has been taking part in training and looks a good bet to be ready on Saturday plus all international players who have returned are healthy.
