Dynamo smack DC/ Soccer on Sports Talk 790

The Dynamo were looking for that match that could break out their goal scoring potential and found it last night.

After a nervous start at BBVA Compass Stadium which saw DC All Star midfielder Chris Pontius get behind the Dynamo three times the game would change.

THE 17th minute GAME CHANGER:

Mac Kandji after a pass from Cory Ashe would get behind DC, goalkeeper Bill Hamid would make an ill time tackle on Kandji conceding a penalty.
Brad Davis would deliver from the spot in the 19th minute for the 1-0 lead.

ANOTHER TIMELY GOAL:
DC United with ten men would then hope to get out of the half down only 1-0 but would take a dagger when in the 37th minute Luiz Camargo would hold play up near the end line giving Bruin time to drive into the box . Camargo squared his pass beautifully to the “dancing bear” who delivered the 37th minute goal.

DYNAMO ATTITUDE TO START SECOND HALF
The Dynamo came out with the attitude to attack and remain hungry for goals.
Not only did this add to great entertainment for fans but it also never gave DC United a chance to get back into the game.
The Dynamo deserve real credit for staying hungry, and desirous to score goals!

BONIEK GARCIA GETS FIRST:
The Dynamo have a gem in this signing. Boniek Garcia would get his first in the 62nd minute off a far post header that he directed back across the face of goal.
The goal would be Boniek Garcia’s first but would also effectively kill off the pysche and hope of DC United.

CHING HITS PK
Brian Ching would hit from the penalty spot in the 89th after Calen Carr was brought down to add the final tally.

SHUTOUT THREE
Third straight shutout for the Dynamo .

GEOFF CAMERON MAN OF THE MATCH
The performance of Geoff Cameron in midfield may have been one of his best.
Afforded time on the ball fans were able to see his vast array of passing skills from longer measured balls, to passes in tight areas.
Cameron may have been buoyed by the news of progress in talks with Stoke City in the EPL and this transaction could happen in the next two days.
If it does, he will have finished his Dynamo career in style.
