Cameron to Stoke?/ Dynamo get Concacaf Champions League dates

Apparently Stoke have tendered an offer to the Houston Dynamo/MLS for the services of Geoff Cameron.

It is likely that Cameron is being looked at by Stoke as a midfield player based on their current center backs and needs.
One wonders how this will play out but I see this as a win win for the Dynamo if Cameron heads to Europe to see out his dreams and realize potential.

One must think the offer is somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 million dollars, that is my guess.

Cameron has made it clear that he wants European football and has been linked to Stoke, Everton and Schalke, what an amazing opportunity to become a part of an English Premier League squad that will be fighting again for survival. The environment, experience would only be good for his game.

This seems a no brainer to me based on what I know , player that wants to go, excellent money in this day and age for an MLS player and an opportunity for the Dynamo to re-invest in their club potentially at the striker position after getting a piece of the transfer.

The Dynamo have enough cover at the back with Andre Hainault, Jermaine Taylor, Bobby Boswell, Cory Ashe , Nathan Sturgis and the emerging Warren Creavalle to absorb the loss of Cameron.

If it happens the MLS/ Dynamo/Dominic Kinnear should take amazing pride in identifying Geoff Cameron, nurturing him and advancing him professionally.
It is a win win and the club can re-invest and look to supplement Oscar Boniek Garcia the recent designated player signing.

Dynamo need to put full 90 together at Montreal

The Dynamo will take on Montreal this weekend at the new Stade Saputo.
Looking at the last two games you can say that four points was good result wise for the Dynamo, the entertainment value was high in both of these games at BBVA Compass.

Up and down game with FC Dallas, late game winner from Adam Moffat. Then Sunday a second half comeback against TFC to earn a point in the 90th minute.
Yes it was exciting, the second half that is.

Couple of thoughts:

WILL BRUIN-he can score 15 goals this year and is now looking more refined.
He is getting chances lately and must make this a regular part
of his game on a more consistent basis.
How will Oscar Boniek Garcia effect him and other Dynamo strikers?

CHANGES DON’T PAY OFF
If you are one of four changes to a starting lineup and you give up three goals for TFC it is not a good sign. Dynamo players were listless in the first half against TFC conceding 3 goals to a team that had scored only 8 all year.

CHANGES DO PAY OFF IN SECOND HALF
The stock of JeVaughan Watson went up as he helped to change the game in the second half. Brian Ching and Brian Ownby also helped this cause.
Geoff Cameron being pushed forward brought results and we saw his vast array of passing skills.

90 MINUTES
Looking forward to see if the Dynamo can go on the road and control a road match a bit more through possession and performance. The last trip to Canada was not a great one and the Dynamo will look to improve on that performance.
Saying that this could be the perfect opportunity .

13 STRAIGHT AGAINST EAST
The Dynamo now have 13 straight games against Eastern Conference opponents .
CAMERON AT AZTECA FOR US?
Geoff Cameron has been linked to clubs Stoke, Everton and Schalke. This is legitimate interest.
Cameron could move to Europe but it seems the Dynamo will have cover with Jermaine Taylor, Andre Hainault and Nathan Sturgis if he does.
If he does go it is a testament to the Dynamo/MLS and Kinnear for discovering him, picking him out and helping platform him to the next level.
Interesting to see how this plays out.

OWNBY
Brian Ownby came on and helped produce on the right side for the Dynamo in the comeback. His energy at training and in reserve matches is always apparent.
He needs more games and a shortened reserve season is not enough.
With Boniek Garcia coming to Houston it will make it even more difficult for him to get minutes unless he leapfrogs in the pecking order.
