EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Group D kicks off today in Poland and Ukraine with England and France and the Ukraine and Sweden.
The “Three Lions” and “Les Bleus” start it today at 10:45 am cdt.

DYNAMO DOWNED AT VANCOUVER
Darren Mattocks tormented the Dynamo with his pace scoring twice for the Whitecaps including a game opener in the 4th minute and then added another in the 66th.
Dynamo sub Mac Kandji would get his first of the year in the 83rd off an assist from Brian Ownby to make it 2-1.
Hesitancy at the back post by Ownby would lead to a sitter from Jordan Harvey to provide the final 3-1 scoreline.

Missing the strength of international players at the back like Geoff Cameron, Jermaine Taylor, and Andre Hainault was evident.
The normally steady Adam Moffat had a tough night on the ball, center backs Nathan Sturgis and Bobby Boswell had a tough time meshing with the challenge of the pace of Mattocks.

WARREN CREAVALLE- Creavalle got his first ever start and responded with an encouraging performance against the Whitecaps. Rookie Brian Ownby also got his first MLS minutes off the bench and provided a pass with purpose to set up Kandji for his goal.
Both got minutes prior to this game against San Antonio and Valencia of Spain.

MAC KANDJI- Mac Kandji got his first MLS goal of the year which could bode well in the future . His finish brought the Dynamo back at 2-1 in the 83rd minute.

DAVIDE CHUMIENTO/DARREN MATTOCKS/GERSON KOFFIE
Chumiento with his skill and unpredictability and Mattocks with his searing pace tormented the Dynamo on the night.
Gerson Koffie provided cutting edge passes with the outside of his foot out of midfield .
YP Lee the former South Korean international also got forward with experience and savvy and provide quality delivery on the right side.
The Whitecaps only used Eric Hassli late and did not even use the talented Camilo who last year scored against the Dynamo.
