Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis is on today at 5pm on Fox Sports Houston presented by Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Istitute…….I hope you the soccer fan have been enjoying this show that airs on FSH every Thursday at 5pm and re-airs at 3pm. If you get Comcast or ATT Uverse you can catch the show.
Dynamo players weigh in on Sunday and what it will take, highlights from game one, top ten goals from around the world, Freddy Ljunberg on the physical nature of football and a Texas native continuing a run of good form in England. A tough week in the EPL with controversial calls, red cards and suspect officiating not to mention a jailing of Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King…..this and all kinds of opinion from you the fan in viewer mail.
I also reveal where Beckham clones are in the United States….:)
More from me later today on the Dynamo and Seattle but I will leave you with this to ponder. Are we in Houston going to respond to Seattle fan passion Htown style?
This would be a great game to take someone with you that has not been a soccer fan or to Robertson…..Let me know if you are doing that?

I am taking my friend and his wife that only come to soccer when the team is winning. I know, I hate then for that. I call them “spring flowers”. Anyway I will even take satan himself if it means a packed stadium.

I want to comment on the article that says the Mayor is asking for the city to wear orange to support the Dynamo.
What a crock, honestly, if he wants to show love, then where is the new stadium? I know its between him and the county, but I cant stand when politicians come out of the woodwork to support a winner just so they can get in the public eye.
I went to the Dynamo championship rally when they last won and I was disgusted to see 10-15 politicians lined up on stage each getting a piece of the mic to basically say the same thing. Its tactless to come out and self-promote and take away time from the real reason for the rally.
These politicians are acting like a bunch of cheifs when they should really just be indians since they cant make many final decision for themselves. 95% of politics is posturing anyway. I think that there are too many cooks in the kitchen when it comes to the new stadium and everyone is looking out for their own outside interest and so nothing will get done.
This matter requires a 3rd party, an outsider, to cast a final vote or settle the score.
Is their an update on how many tickets are left for the game this weekend? I know the team will come through. The team has that magic that you know will come through right at that moment.
Thanks for reading my rant.
Lets go Dynamo!!!!

Dynajoe,
Love your passion and yes we are dealing with politics in a big way.
Politicians love to take credit for things others do and don’t miss a photo op.
I do know that Ann Clutterbuck on city council was a Dynamo season ticket holder while most others came out of the woodwork and probably have never gone to a game.
This team and sport is dis-respected but we soldier on…Only 16,000 tickets out right now….come on Houston rise to the occasion.

We have 15 of us family members and friends, from my 4 years old son up to my 70 years old mother-in law. We will be there at 10 am tailgating. My family will wear orange shirts to go to work tomorrow. Let make a SEA OF ORANGE on Sunday. How come there is only 16,000 tickets out? Come on Houston, we can do better than this.

I’ve got 2 newbies (7 year old soccer player and her dad) coming for sure and 4 more supposed to purchase tix this afternoon. Wishing for a sell out, hearing good things from the ticket sales office. Might we see one of our owners in attendance, Senor de la Hoya? Trying to contact the two remaining Houston mayoral candidates so I can buy them some tickets to the match.
Will be wearing team colors and jersey to the office tomorrow.
Forever Orange!

First off, i appreciate everything you do to help our futbol community. You supply us with behind the scenes look at our beloved squad and great takes on EPL games. I bring friends out to every dynamo game trying to boast up our attendance. I think its the grounds on which we play on that pushes people away. 16000 tickets sold for this team at this point is uncalled for. We as a community need to come together and show everyone that futbol can hang with the other major sports in our city. Hispanics are not minorities in this city anymore. There is no reason why the Dynamo shouldn’t be at least ahead of the Astros, who can’t even put a good product on the field. Anyways, come out and tail gate with us Glenn. We’ll be in back of where Batallion sit. How do you like your steak?
