SPALLETTI OUT AT ROMA

Luciano Spalletti is out and Claudio Ranieri is in at Roma. Spalletti resigned after a 2-1 loss to Juventus this weekend . Roma has lost in the opening two rounds of Serie A play. Roma finished 6th in the Serie A last season.

DC UNITED AND SEATTLE for the LAMAR HUNT US OPEN CUP WEDNESDAY

You can catch this on FSC……Interesting debate here about where this game should be played. DC United won out on a bid process to host the final and no one can argue with their history that they are not worthy. Yet for a tournament that few care about now since the advent of the Superliga and Concacaf Champions League one wonders if it should have gone to Seattle purely for the fact that it would have drawn 32,000 fans and would have been great for boosting the marketability of the tournament. Year after year there have been so many Lamar Hunt US Open Cup matches played in front of few fans….Do you care? Should it be in DC?

SOCCER MATTERS with GLENN DAVIS on FOX SPORTS HOUSTON

Fans spread the word about the time change of the show. It will now air on Thursdays at 5pm and I am hoping you will spread this information through word of mouth.
Alot of effort goes in to the show and we have been moved from a morning time slot on Saturday. Today we taped at Robertson Stadium and Sunday we will tape out at Bear Creek Park. With this show I try to tie the levels of the sport together from the grass roots, college, MLS and Dynamo on to the top leagues of the world.
Each show features top ten goals, interviews, key topics of discussion in our world of soccer.
This show proves that soccer is inclusive to all and we must tie it all together!

The summer transfer window is officially closed…Rafa Benitez of Liverpool has been punished by the FA for comments after his team’s loss to Liverpool….Franck Ribery denies there is a deal in place to move to Real Madrid from Bayern Munich next summer.
