Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis at 9am tomorrow on Fox Sports Houston…..Landin could debut on Sunday

Soccer Matters with Glenn Davis airs tomorrow on Fox Sports Houston at 9am
Dynamo manager Dominic Kinnear weighs in on new Mexican signing Luis Landin…..Eddie Robinson on his future as a Dynamo, top ten goals, viewer mail plus a breakdown of the U.S. /Mexico game and much more…….Check it out!!!!

Luis Landin is available tomorrow for the Houston Dynamo as his paperwork has gone through…The Dynamo also could enjoy have their top midfield line intact with Brad Davis, Ricardo Clark , Stuart Holden and Brian Mullan. Seattle is without Freddie Montero(suspended) and Freddie Ljunberg remains a question mark after disorientation.
Nate Jacqua and Patrick Ianni return to Robertson as Sounders….This should be interesting and hugely important 3 points for the Dynamo as they pursue their first supporters shield while the Sounders just lost three points at home to NE 1-0 and have more road games in their future.

College soccer is off and running tomorrow and I am headed to watch SMU take on Denver at Meyer Park in the Klein area tomorrow night at 7:30pm…

    Glenn,

Don’t know if you heard, but today, due to threats made against himself and his family, Steven Cohen quit World Soccer Daily. As of now, the show is over and will not be replaced by anyone.

In a world where we all agree to disagree, the members of the Liverpool NYC Supporters Group, as well as other Liverpool supporters began a campaign of hate and anti-semitism aimed at Cohen, his co-workers and his sponsors because of comments Cohen made about the Hillsborough disaster. Although the comments were ill-advised, Cohen apologized for the comments, but that did not stop the hateful Liverpool Supporters (I am not grouping all Liverpool supporters here) from their campaign to intimidate Cohen. Instead of helping the beautiful game grow here in Houston, the effectively killed the only daily football talk show in the country. This will prove to hurt the growth of the game here in the US.

People like Steven Cohen and Kenny Hassan, Charlie Stillitano, Georgio Chinaglia, and you Glenn, who do this game a great service by talking about it, and encouraging other to do the same. Even when we don’t agree (and we don’t), we have the ability to talk about this beautiful game.

This is a sad day for soccer in the United States because hate won.

    Coach H,

It is truly another sad day in US soccer….I mean I rarely agree with Glenn but invite his insight and listen and watch his shows for the love of the sport, truly tragic. Talking about supporting the sport I remember reading that Coach H you have a soccer store right? May I please have the location?

Hey Glenn where exactly is the SMU game tomorrow?

  5. Frank says:

I guess the whole Steven Cohen deal took an ugly turn. I don’t know enough of the Hillsborough event to see how Cohen’s comments could cause such a reaction. I don’t agree with half of the political commentary on TV or the radio but I am sure not going to spend any time on those idiots. I choose to listen to something else. For the record, Glenn, I usually agree and appreciate your insights. You often help me see a different angle on topics and I appreciate that awareness. You deserve the increased attention and the different forums you have secured through your hard work and integrity. cheers.

    Glenn,

Currently watching your show and all I have to say is that from the slow motion film clips of the Dynamo in Rio Tinto; I am feeling pretty confident about our back line. Our back line looked synchronized and were ready to respond to any threat that came their way. Our back line is the most under rated back line in MLS. Also glad to see Robinson is recovering well. Robinson seemed really bummed out about his injury. Well thanks for another great show, G to the L to the E to the double N Davis…
