Dynamo get key road win over Kansas City aided by the return of “Rico”…..Saddened by loss of McNair

The Dynamo picked up a value three points but at a cost tonite in Kansas City.
Their 1-0 win was punctuated with a beautifully put together goal that involved Ricardo Clark, Cory Ashe, Mike Chabala and ultimately a Kei Kamara header.
Some good fortune rained on the Dynamo as Josh Wolff hit the crossbar late with Pat Onstad beaten but in the end a three point road win was acquired.
The Dynamo will not have available both center-backs Bobby Boswell and Geoff Cameron due to yellow card accumulation next weekend in Seattle. Prior to heading west they will go East to take on the Charleston Battery in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Charleston has eliminated the Dynamo the last two years in the Open Cup.
This will be a big challenge going to Seattle sans your two center-backs to play in front of 30,000! Not to mention that Seattle had this weekend off……..What are your thoughts on the Dynamo win in KC ?

Titan Football players STEVE MCNAIR murdered….I am baffled by this and the amount of incidents NFL players get it off the field? I am also saddened because McNair seemed like an up-front guy not to mention was one tough athlete and followed his dream of being a quarterback by going to Alcorn. Sorry to see this etched all over the front page of the newspaper.

Beautiful combination play on the goal. Defense showed grit in preserving the win. Valuable points won tonight.

Good win. we got lucky that KC missed several opportunities. Seems like we still need to get our coverages right on breakaways. Adi seemed to have better fitness and Kai and Dominic almost scored a nice one down the middle. So, we’re getting better where we need to – on offense. I guess if you are going to take a hit due to yellow cards, better to have the center defense take it all at once. Seattle will be hard to beat with our current squad. I don’t think we’re going to stay lucky.

Ugly win but it is the name of the game for this part of the MLS season. As you said: “Valuable points.”

No complaints for a good result, but the next step for this team would be some possession in the second half with a lead. Make the opponent chase a little.

Hainault didn’t dress for Canada. Any chance of getting him back? Who plays in the back? Ustruck has been playing on the back line for Austin. So Chabala, James, Waibel, Ustruck?

I’m headed to Seattle for the game so we need a plan!

  4. Charley says:

Didn’t see either game. Had to do the pyro technic thing. You said it with valuable points. The Seattle game will be tough with all those holes in back. Looks like Big O will have an eventful match. Sure is nice to have Rico back.

  5. george says:

Ugly and lucky. Helps to make up for games where Dynamo won everything but final score.

What’s up with Ade? Been trying to watch him,and not seeing much activity and no intensity. How did he do at Austin?

Glenn- Any news as to why Ching was left out of the 18 for the USA?
