Time to get your predictions in on Real Madrid vs. Barcelona and the Dynamo at NE……..

Quite frankly it has seemed like an eternity since the Dynamo were last in action so it will be good to see the “orange” back on the field this Sunday at NE.
Here are a few things to look forward to; Dynamo manager Dominic Kinnear now has the additional selection choices of defender Andrew Hainault and striker Ade Akinbiyi.
My sense here tells me that Akinbiyi is still a bit away from it fitness wise and could be used in a reserve role off the bench.
An interesting area to keep an eye on is when coach Dominic Kinnear might make the move to push Geoff Cameron into midfield and give opportunity to Andrew Hainault at center back.
Dominic Kinnear has mentioned many times that Cameron is suited best in midfield, then again you have come off a 1-0 win over Colorado with Cameron playing well and center-back.
I am looking forward to seeing the Dynamo build off their last win and one would think they are more than ready to get back on the field against a team that was destroyed 6-0 by Real Salt Lake conceding 6 goal in the second half. There will be some sort of reaction from NE who could get a few veterans back with Steve Ralston and Matt Reis.
Are you heading to the Mezzanine Lounge for this 2pm kickoff on Telefutura? Where are the other game watching parties?
Do the Dynamo get their first ever win at NE at Gillette Stadium?

REAL MADRID vs. BARCA WILL BE DECISIVE

Title hopes in LA LIGA for Real Madrid come down to this game tomorrow that you can catch on Goltv. This Spanish Derby is one for the ages and both teams come in bruised and battered. Arjen Robben has resumed training for Real Madrid after a calf problem. Guti is out after spraining an ankle in training Wednesday and Wesley Sneijder is also listed as out with a thigh muscle strain. Not buying that both will miss this one based on the severity of their muscle problems.
Of course Barcelona must stay focused on the “Galacticos” after their disappointing 0-0 draw at home in Champions League against Chelsea and their second leg looming next week.
Rafa Marquez is out with a knee injury for the remainder of the year and they will also miss Martin Caceres and Gabriel Milito.
This will be great theatre.
Do Barcelona and Lionel Messi crush Real Madrid hopes?

MLS ON TAP

Here are a few thoughts on MLS this weekend:

CREW AT TORONTO FC- Hard to believe that the defending champions are still seeking out their first win . Two late goals last weekend were hard to stomach against the Fire
and no one is claiming they have had the breaks yet. Do they get their first win at Toronto F.C. I don’t think so with Toronto having won 2 straight and
players looking to establish themselves to management after coach John Carver stepped down. Dwayne DeRosario and Toronto have won 2 in a row.

DALLAS AT DC- It has been a rough opening to 2009 for FC Dallas a club they perennially seems to be re-building with players in and out. FC Dallas striker Ken Cooper Jr.
is always the hope going into games to produce goals. DC United have to be favored at RFK .

SEATTLE AT CHICAGO- How about a great measuring stick for Seattle by playing the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park on the road. A big test for the Sounders whom look nothing
like the Chivas USA and Toronto F.C. expansion clubs of the past. Does Sigi Schmid pull the reigns back a bit on his squad and look to break out
through Freddy Ljunberg and Steve Zakahouni? Stars abound with MLS player of the month Brian McBride who has been exceptional and will go up against
a trio in Osvaldo Alonso in midfield and two solid center backs in Jhon Kennedy Hurtado and Tyrone Marshall who was superb against San Jose.
Had road chances at Chivas USA and could have won that game. Freddy Montero looking to get back on track is assure a few chances every game.
Marquee game of the weekend. Does C Blanco get the start for the Fire?

RSL vs. COLORADO- First trip back to Dicks Sporting Goods Park for RSL after their stunning late goal put them in the playoffs last year and ousted the Gary Smith led Rapids.
RSL have established good home field play but the mantra for manager Jason Kreis is to be a better road team. That opportunity begins today.
Can they contend with Omar Cummings and that bald headed beauty Conor Casey.

CHIVAS USA vs. SAN JOSE- Quakes a team in trouble and clearly are suffering without last year defender of the year Jason Hernandez and driving winger Darren Huckerby.
A win is much needed at home for morale and Chivas USA with the overall best record in the league provide the perfect “opportunity” to turn your
season around.

NY vs. LA Boy did we have alot of people jumping on the New York Red Bulls bandwagon early. This team kissed the blarney stone throughout last year and have been poorly
organized and I am not under the Juan Carlos Osorio spell like many but I also know it is early in the season like for all MLS teams. Athletic but tactically naive out
wide the real question remains on how they can get their “jewel” in striker Juan Pablo Angel better support.
LA is more organized and being built to be a counter-attacking team under Bruce Arena with Landon Donovan the centerpiece. Overall player selection has been a
question from LA who are veteran laden. Today they get their first win.
