*Rumor has the U.S. WOMENS NATIONAL team playing a friendly match here in Houston on December 13th against CHINA. The U.S. won the GOLD MEDAL at this summer’s Olympics in CHINA. The game would be played at Robertson Stadium. Is this something you would want to see?

*The TEXAS RUSH youth soccer club has entered into an agreement with A.S. Monaco of France. More and more youth clubs are engaging in associations and agreements with overseas clubs.
Yet one also can’t forget that every youth team in Houston has an ally in the DYNAMO. If you want me to explain why? I can.

*The DYNAMO are home for three straight MLS games Sunday (DC UTD) , Wednesday against (San Jose) and Saturday against (LA). The good news is that the DYNAMO can wrap up the WESTERN CONFERENCE TITLE (which they have never done despite winning two MLS Cups) and get a much needed break from the road. The tough news is that the organization has to sell three dates in a very short amount of time. Will the economy hurt the overall attendance in MLS? Outside of season ticket holders I say yes across the board. Yet lets not forget, as we saw on Tuesday night at Robertson the changing weather will be great for Houston are fans coming out to Dynamo games.

Now back to the games. DC could be doing a death march coming into Houston without JAIME MORENO, MARCELLO GALLARDO, FRED and LUCIANO EMILIO. The South American attacking influence injured or suspended in the case of Moreno. Is this a team that made just too much change? FRED and GALLARDO are apparently done for the year.
THE REAL STORY IN MLS REMAINS THE DYNAMO HEADING FOR A THIRD STRAIGHT MLS CUP WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. In fact no team in HOUSTON has ever won three straight titles……These games are also a part of HURRICANE RELIEF WEEK and fans are asked to bring used soccer equipment to donate at these selected games.

*Dynamo Soccer Report this Friday on Channel 55 with Glenn Davis features Dynamo player Dwayne DeRosario and San Jose head coach FRANK YALLOP.

In front of just 4000+ fans the DYNAMO knocked off SAN FRANCISCO of PANAMA 2-1 in CONCACAF CHAMPIONS league play and now have 5 points in three matches including two road draws. DOMINIC KINNEAR fielded a line-up that included seldom used reserves like MIKE CHABALA and CHRIS WONDOLOSKI. Both contributed to the win with WONDOLOSKI scored a goal off his head. The Dynamo in particular were poor in the air with numerous chances coming to NATE JACQUA and others which might have made this win a little easier.

With the DYNAMO holding a 1-0 lead TONY CAIG was beaten over the top from about 40 yards out to level things out in the early moments of the second half. A game that was in control all of a sudden became more competitive. With ideas slow to materialize at times DYNAMO manager DOMINIC KINNEAR as he did at UNAM PUMAS brought on DWAYNE DEROSARIO in the final fifteen minutes to change the game and he did. All of a sudden the game came to life with DEROSARIO in it and his long range blast from 22 yards out sent the small but very noticeable crowd into exctasy with the game winning goal.
Most fans won’t remember but DeRosario in his initial years in MLS was a super-sub off the bench for the San Jose Earthquakes before becoming a 90 minute player in MLS.

Another win where DOMINIC KINNEAR was able to rest players. The DYNAMO now will entertain DC UNITED on Sunday without both BRIAN CHING and KEI KAMARA who have been called up to the U.S. National team and Sierra Leone respectively.

With the Dynamo depleted up front you just might find DeRosario in the role of a striker come Sunday against UNITED who are desperate for points and will be coming off Concacaf Champions League play this week as well.

MVP: DWAYNE DEROSARIO FOR COMING OFF THE BENCH AND CHANGING THE GAME
