BRIAN CHING may have been rested for the UNAM game in Mexico City but he certainly came back into the DYNAMO squad with a vengeance scoring twice and producing an assist in a 3-1 victory. CHING has also been called into the U.S. national team for their upcoming WORLD CUP qualifier. I have heard it all now when it comes to broadcasting MLS games. I heard a commentator talking about the RPM’s of a player’s leg rotating on a bicycle kick in comparison to a helipcopter’s blades. ..yes I kid you, not on a broadcast tonite. One day we will take it seriously that people who understand the sport and are vested in it should be talking about it. MLS clubs need to be accountable for who they hire to talk about their sport.

From Columbus, LA is dead….they are old, tired and have run out of ideas. They can’t win with this older squad in such a youthful league. They can’t penetrate out wide against the better teams and clearly Bruce Arena’s tinkering hasn’t made much of a difference. Arena will clean house and try to find some more talented youthful players. Does LANDON DONOVAN move on ?

Oh on another note DAVID BECKHAM picked up a yellow card at Columbus and will miss next Saturday’s home game against COLORADO…Good news for DYNAMO fans who will finally get to see BECKHAM as he has been to every stadium except HOUSTON.

The Dynamo take on a COLORADO RAPIDS squad today that is 3-0-1 under interim coach GARY SMITH who was originally brought over from ARSENAL to head up the youth program. The RAPIDS have been making their playoff push without the influence of CHRISTIAN GOMEZ who is now an afterthought in Colorado.
The DYNAMO will return BRIAN CHING and BRAD DAVIS to their starting line-up as they hope to secure home field advantage in the playoffs. STUART HOLDEN and JEFF CAMERON have been ruled out of this game and BOBBY BOSWELL will not be available due to suspension. WAIBEL to the middle or IANNI at the back? What do you prefer?

The US NATIONAL MANAGER BOB BRADLEY picked a young squad for the upcoming qualifier against CUBA.
