DEVIN BROWN DYNAMO FAN OF THE WEEK

Toronto was crazy! That’s a great town and I need to
get back there again. The game was so-so but a point on the road is a
good result with the insane frequent flyer miles the team’s been getting
lately. The Red Patch Boys are good people, too. They talked trash to me,
but bought me beers after the game. I had to stop by Soccer4All when I
got back to Houston because I swapped jerseys with one of them before
the night was over. I came home with a cold and found out I still had no
cable so I had to follow the play-by-play for the Pumas game on Big
Soccer from my iphone. WHAT A GAME!

Here’s a shot of the good guys behind enemy lines in a
foreign land. Keep up the good work, Glenn. You give the sport a good name with your endless enthusiasm.

Dynamo Soccer Report with Glenn Davis tonite/ Kinnear in tirade filled press conference/ San Jose robbed

Here are a few thoughts today starting with a reminder.
THE DYNAMO SOCCER REPORT with GLENN DAVIS is on the air tonite at 9:30 on Channel 55, if you can’t watch it live make sure to get it taped.
Comprehensive highlights of the Dynamo at UNAM in their historic result plus a start player who is making his way back, rumors, rants and raves plus more.
We hear also from you the fan.

The troubles at NEWCASTLE UNITED just continue. Struggling results, a Nigerian group potentially buying the club, over-inflated expectations plus poor management have put this once proud club in turmoil. The press has not exactly added to the situation positively either in GEORDIELAND.
Enter surprise new mananager JOE KINNEAR who in a profanity laced press conference announced his arrival to Northern England firing a warning shot at journalists who he feels will undermine his opportunity to turn the club around.
The press have ridiculed him and Kinnear came out fighting swearing apparently 50 times.

“I will stand up for myself in any corner,” said Kinnear the former Wimbeldon boss. “Your’e not going to frighten me in any manner. Whatever you do, or whatever headline you run, your’e not going to embarrass me.
“I’m not going to stand for it. Iv’e come up here for a simple chance to prove myself. Get off my back and let me get on with my job. That’s all I ask.”

Kinnear has ties with executive football director Dennis Wise who has been instrumental in his hiring. Pretty bizarre that the 61 year old lost it. To read the un-edited version got to espnsoccernet.com

* U.S. NATIONAL TEAM WITH SURPRISE CALL UP

He is only 21 years old and hails from Longview, TX. He is also a member of Pachuca in the Mexican league. Jose Francisco Torres is expected to be called in by U.S. manager Bob Bradley according to the Dallas Morning News. The U.S. have lost players with dual citizenship so Bob Bradley may be eager to get this player capped. The U.S. next play T&T and Cuba.

*QUAKES robber in my humble opinion

It was a game that carried a true sense of urgency like most in MLS these days. FC Dallas in front of 7 thousand plus against San Jose last night going right up agains the vice-presidential debate.
A couple of thing to point out that was not reported in ANY of the accounts that I read on this game and it was the most pivotal moment.
With SCOTT SEALY streaking behind the FC DALLAS defense, clearly in, Duilio Davino reaches clearly up in the air and slaps the ball away. No red card, no nada! Clear as day for referee ABBY OKULAJA.
Davino should have been sent off and if Sealy finishes it is 2-0.
FC DALLAS then get a controversial penalty kick in the 89th minute and KEN COOPER JR hits a great penalty to tie things. 1-1
Was SAN JOSE jobbed? I say yes and it is a reminder that referee’s will have poor games with the pressure on. It is human nature.
These calls could cost SAN JOSE a playoff spot….DUILIO DAVINO by the way has not played well in MLS and has gotten caught out positionally throughout the season, not just last night coming back into the fold. Quite frankly Aaron Pitchkolan has played better at the back but maybe Hyndmann is feeling the pressure to get his veteran on.
Davino got caught out on the San Jose goal and has not been a great buy. Maybe he can earn his money now and help get FC Dallas in the playoffs.
I am pulling for the neighbors to the north.
Thoughts on this game.

LA GALAXY AT COLUMBUS ON HDNET this Saturday night , I will post a Dynamo pre-game concerning their game with Colorado.
