So FC Dallas is doing a bit of wheeling and dealing. First they have added 30 year old Victor Sikora last of NAC BREDA in the NETHERLANDS. Having interviewed SHELLAS HYNDMAN the FC Dallas head coach it was evident that he was looking for a more attacking threat out of the central area in midfield.
JEFF CUNNINGHAM one of the all time leading goal scorers in MLS currently sitting on 99 goals was acquired for a third round draft choice. CUNNINGHAM’s acquisition is a good one in the scheme of things and gives FC DALLAS three quality strikers with the red hot KENNY COOPER and DOMINIC ODURO…..Lots of speed to get in behind defenses, strength , power and skill.Will it work…my feeling is it is worth a shot. ODURO is dangerous but a sub par finisher. Cooper is the pillar of FC DALLAS and CUNNINGHAM who has a history of personality problems and at times has been called a malcontent. Could HYNDMANN with his personality bring the best out in CUNNINGHAM….who knows but the three strikers look formidable if Cunningham can be committed.
All in all this could be a move of potential in Dallas…..

This is a good acquisition of Cunningham since you only have to deal with him for 3 or 4 months. With the way the MLS playoffs are structured, if you get can get 2 or 3 really good halves of play out of him in separate playoff games, he could be a real difference maker.
It will be interesting to see what they do with Kenny Cooper – it’s like they are making a championship push be getting attackers and NOT selling Cooper but it sort of seems uncoordinated with their efforts to market and make the team relevant. If you aren’t going to sell Cooper, give him Ruiz-type money and try to build around him.
Ummm…. it’s VICTOR Sikora. And he’s projected to play left wing, not centrally. If you followed MLS, you’d know Dallas has struggled on the left all year.
Oh, wait, you DO (allegedly) cover MLS. It would be nice to know your opinion was actually based on knowledge…

Hey is it…..Zippy? Cool name. Thanks for the catch on Victor Sikora….my point is that two quality players could make a big difference in Dallas at this juncture. Good acquisitions…and Dallas has struggled in more areas than the left ….including off the field and the hope is for the entire health of MLS that FC Dallas will grow. Instead of addressing your anger at me you might put a bit more pressure on the organization FC Dallas. The league is only as good as it’s organizations that are not performing as well and I am not talking about just on the field. You can allegedly send an email and hide behind it to the FC Dallas organizations with your concerns.
I suppose you will call Arturo Alvarez a Houston “homer” and that is why you believe he was moved to San Jose….thanks for the laugh…

Apparently FC Dallas fans spend more time studying spelling and punctuation than actually attending games at Pizza Hut Park, based upon the fan support we see each week. Not exactly sure what the front office spends its time on however.
