MLS rumors/ Ronaldinho to LA?/ DeRosario to FC Copenhagen?

11111111111.jpg

Another rumor that has been floating around is DYNAMO DWAYNE DEROSARIO to FC COPENHAGEN in DENMARK. Nothing substantiates this rumor as the Danish newspapers and FC Copenhagen website mention nothing. Canadien Attiba Hutchinson does play at the club and is a teammate of DeRosario’s with Canada. Friends of mine with ties to FC Copenhagen say nary a word has been said about this…..

RONALDINHO to LA is one of the rumors that is floating around these days but are we to take this seriously? The figure being thrown out is 18 million dollars……LA would need to secure another DP slot . Do they of all teams need more star quality. I think they have enough with David Beckham. How about a few more quality players to balance out the team?

Also from LA is that forward CARLOS RUIZ will move on to the COLUMBUS CREW and re-join coach SIGI SCHMID whom he won an MLS CUP with in LA years back.
This makes more sense and Columbus is rumored to being parting with defender FRANKIE HEJDUK……RUIZ is probably not the mobile type forward that LA needs now as he sits at the top of the box attracting defenders which ultimately would kill off space for LANDON DONOVAN and EDSON BUDDLE to work in.

NATE JACQUA could be on his way back to the DYNAMO but is this the ultimate? It may be based on resources but if he returns he would only be rented as his ultimate destination is SEATTLE next year? He would be an upgrade but not that mobile forward that would be the ultimate partner for BRIAN CHING. JOSEOPH NGWENYA remains awol in EUROPE.

Dynamo at Real Salt Lake/ Liqa de Quito win Copa Libertadores/ Asprilla in the news/ Deco in EPL?/ Crespo to America?

The DYNAMO take on Real Salt Lake in probably the most detested playing surface in MLS. The players can’t stand the artificial surface yet that is what they will be confronted with tonite. Even RSL goalkeeper NICK RIMANDO alluded to the difficult surface. The stadium in Sandy, UTAH can’t come quick enough for RSL but irregardless they are udefeated at home and the DYNAMO have a crack at breaking that streak in a place they have only won once.
The key player in my opinion these days is midfielder KYLE BECKERMANN for RSL (Colorado why did you trade him?). His ethic, leadership and desire go a long way in helping them control midfield. Also he is a threat from long range. The set-up man is Argentine JAVIER MORALES who has 7 assists on the year and the speed of ROBBIE FINDLEY up front is a threat on the surface.
Teams have to adjust their passing at RICE ECCLES on a surface where the ball runs….

Spoke with EDDIE ROBINSON this past Tuesday while he was getting treatment at ROBERTSON and he is targeting the DC UNITED game in Superliga to make his return to the line-up.
Sadly that means ROBINSON would miss the ATLANTE and CHIVAS Superliga matches…..DYNAMO SOCCER REPORT with GLENN DAVIS this Friday at 9:30 PM on Channel 55 features interviews with ROBINSON and DYNAMO striker BRIAN CHING….for feedback, story ideas go to Houston55.com, click DYNAMO SOCCER REPORT with GLENN DAVIS and send me an email. All topics are considered.

LIGA DE QUITO struck a huge blow in South America becoming the first team from ECUADOR to win the COPA LIBERTADORES….amazing stuff if you caught it on FOX ESPANOL.
They defeated FLUMINENSE of BRAZIL in penalty kicks and now will go on to the FIFA WORLD CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS in TOKYO.
Eighty thousands fans were in the MARACANA for the final and only 2000 were from ECUADOR. What a moment for this country and it’s soccer. Something tells me a few of their players will be moving on from the Ecuadorian first division.

*TINO ASPRILLA continues his bizzare behavior. The former Colombian national team player and NEWCASTLE striker is under house arrest for illegal posession of weapons.
Seems Tino was upset that a private security area would not allow three women and his bodyguard into the property so instead of working it out he unloaded with a gun spraying the booth with 29 bullets……Conflict resolution classes are not in TINO’s future……

DECO is heading to CHELSEA to play for his Portuguese national team coach “Big Phil” FELIPE SCOLARI. I wonder the type of impact he will have in the fast paced EPL where he will get less space and time with the ball. He will need to sourrounded by the right compliment of players as he will get a yard less room in England then he did in Spain. Is this a thank you from SCOLARI similiar to the one in New York for CLAUDIO REYNA who by the way played in a charity event in Manhattan but then did not join the RED BULL in LA this past weekend. I don’t want to beat this up but how can this be good PR for anybody??? Including MLS and the RED BULL? This should have been avoided…….Juan Pablo Angel showed up at this event but did not play…..

*FYI CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich has given new manager Felipe Scolari around $500 million dollars to improve the team. And to think the DYNAMO are on a payroll of 2.3 million dollars in MLS. How is that for perspective. Reminds us that MLS teams have done well with limited resources.

THE FREE KICK MASTERS event is this SATURDAY night and begins at 7pm at RELIANT STADIUM and goes to 11pm….this is unique and it will be interesting to see how it is received.
The event will be on television back to over 40 countries and features Dynamo player Dwayne DeRosario and Brad Davis going up against players like RONALDINHO and LIONEL MESSI. FREEKICKMASTERS.com for more information and competition rules.

CLUB AMERICA is trying to repeat their success with signings from Argentina and are trying to secure HERNAN CRESPO…..
