To me it looks like Ching is the kind of player that takes playing for your country an honor and a responsibility, my bet is that he will never turn down the chance.

I believe playing for your country is more important than any other sort of game and competition, but I respect players that believe their careers are more important, everyone has different priorities.

Even tough I respect everyone´s decision, I do believe once you turn down the chance to play with your NT, you should never get asked again.

Ching may not be in the best form at the moment, but he's been called up to USMNT camps before and played well in the games. Regardless of Ching's current MLS scoring drought, he belongs in at least the pool of players to be chosen for these friendlies.

As far as your question, Glenn, about Ching's future with the NT, it's hard for me to say. As much as I can speculate about when he should or shouldn't stop playing on the international level, only Chingy can tell when his body can no longer deal with both club and NT duties (ie Brian McBride). I say Chingy will be done with international duties after WC in 2010..

Do you know anything more about Jaqua being out of contract? I'm pretty sure he got quite a bit more playing time than Ngwenya did in Austria, so I doubt he'd be interested in coming back.. but we'd gladly take him at the moment, no doubt.

ok it hurts me to say this as much as it hurts for you to read it, but how did Chingy get called up he is in horrible form (guess that just shows lack of depth MNT has up front). I cannot express how exited I am for the end of the month to get here, Englan, Spain then Argentina I believe this will pay off big for the coming qualifiers and summer of 09 and hopefully 10 WC. Not to concerned about the results of course I want to see a win or a tie would be nice vs. these powerhouses not so much england anymore, but the experience is the key here for the youngins to get so they will be prepared and we won't have to see frightened faces in our first game at the 10 WC that I saw in 06

I slept through the Colorado game last night, but noticed a couple of things:

1. I am a big fan of RSL striker Kenny Deuchar. The guy was a big time goal scorer at Gretna, and wanted to come to play for Houston, before RSL put the discovery claim on him. What would it take for Dynamo to pry him away from RSL?

2. You are spot on about the crowd at DSG. It is an embarassment to the league and I think MLS needs to look at teams who can't fill their stadiums for Thursday night games. Reward teams who put the people in the stands. Last year, in the first year of DSG, I was able to get a seat in the front row right behind the goal. That says a lot about stadiums that are built outside of the city. Hopefully, Dynamo do not do the same, or else we might see similar crowds.

Interesting match up this week with Dynamo and Chicago. I will be happy with a draw, and hopefully, Blanco meets a random elbow!
