Out here in Chicago Cuahutemoc Blanco weighed in on the Hugo Sanchez firing saying that the press was after Sanchez the minute he got the job and that the players all supported Sanchez. I have spoken to Pavel Pardo before when Ricardo LaVolpe was the coach and he said Hugo Sanchez was consistently a problem around the national team with his insistence on being publicy critical of LaVolpe. My interpretation is you reap what you sow. Brash, bold outrageous predictions and a focus on self in the beginning of his tenure as coach created animosity and unrealistic expectations besides making many feel that he felt he was more important than “EL Tri”.
