After 10 years with Mexican powerhouse Club America, Duilio Davino has signed with Dynamo foe FC Dallas. In 323 games with America, Davino scored 11 goals, and competed in 40 international competitions. He also has played 84 games for the Mexican National team including all four games in the 1998 World Cup in France. Clearly, this acquisition should prove to be one that shakes up the Western Conference, and come playoff time his experience could be what FC Dallas has been missing these past years.

I don’t know Davino, but the FCD GM has not shown me much in two years. I suspect this is a show-piece move to get another 8-900 fans to the games. I hope I’m wrong.
It’s a little of both, (ticket sales & filling up a position they really need), I think this will be a second-calling for Davino, who had a mysterious exit from America, and he’ll probably show some fire (or at least what he’s got left) when things get tough for FC Dallas (the latter part of the regular season).
I am sure he will bring some really good experience and a little of that “flare” or good ol’ “fang” that sometimes player lack in the MLS…(and some overdo as is the case with Carlos Ruiz)…
All in all I believe this is a good move for FC Dallas and just makes it a little tougher for my home team but hey…we got a faster, younger, more promising prospect in our defense line (Bosswell)…
I’m way more excited to see how he will adapt to our system…

I agree FC Dallas has not made alot of good choices over the years.
This to me is a good one though.
Davino will be a great compliment to a young center back to grow with.
Drew Moor or Alex Yi would benefit greatly I believe.
The real story though is that this could be a platform to engage more fans of the Mexican league and this signing will need to be supported by a plan to get more diverse fans to PHP.
Have a little fun in Dallas ! Loosen up a bit FO. Soccer is about fun and celebration and you won’t achieve that without hispanic fans .
Get out in the community and engage the top hispanic leadership.
You only have to look south for the model.
Davino did not come off a great year with Club America and his exit is based on performance.
At 31 if he takes MLS serious he will have alot to give.
The pressure is on Davino to perform.
