Spencer for hire in Chicago? Or could it be Harkes?

The Fire according to some reports may down to three candidates and one includes Dynamo assistant John Spencer.
Spencer is destined for a head coaching role eventually but does he want to walk away from another year of experience in Houston and a shot at a third title?
Assistant Denis Hamlett is also apparently in the running but if he wasn’t good enough to be head coach during there last open period when they hired Juan Carlos Osorio what makes him improved now? Unless they feel he can carry on the work of JC Osorio. The road to being a head coach in MLS is by being an assistant, bottom line.
It seems like Hamlett has been an assistant in Chicago forever, it seems as if his shot at becoming a head coach would have come by now.
Mike Jeffries is a strange one to say the least except for that he has former Chicago ties as an assistant to Bob Bradley which got him his shot at Dallas with the Burn which was less than stellar. In his defense the organization made the poor choice of moving the team to a high school stadium and he tried to build a squad effective for artificial surface. It backfired.
Jeffries ability to manage players comes to mind here. Is he a motivator? Can he get the best out of players?
The x factor might be John Harkes an assistant last year for the Red Bull . Both Harkes and team president John Guppy both hail from Kearny, New Jersey and Harkes feels he is ready to be a head coach. Will Guppy give him that chance. To my knowledge only Hamlett speaks spanish which will be an asset with Cuauhtemoc Blanco.
All candidates come in with the knowledge that the central focus of tactics and team play will be around Blanco
Dealing with a player of his stature and emotion will be key.
I am surprised that some top Mexican or Argentine coaches have not been considered.

Mourinho to Bayern

When the Kaiser talks people listen. Yes, I am talking about Franz Beckenbauer.
Beckenbauer has come out endorsing Jose Mourinho to replace departing Ottmar Hitzfield at the end of the season for Bayern Munich. When it comes to FC Hollywood in Germany high profile is what it is about yet in Mourinho they get a manager that is a winner. It would also be a big coup for the Bundesliga to get a manager of this stature.
Is former Chelsea man Mourinho a good fit for Bayern?
