Local Youth Soccer Associations must do the right thing

Local youth soccer associations must do the right thing this Saturday and cancel afternoon games in order to give youth soccer players and their parents the opportunity to attend or view the Houston Dynamo game without duress.
TYSA, HYSA, EDDOA and BAYSA all have the opportunity to let us know that they realize that Saturday is a historic day for soccer in this city.
To cancel afternoon games is to create awareness for the game and give parents and youth soccer players time to enjoy the run up to the game with a level of excitment.
STYSA President Ed Loucks has recommended that Associations cancel all games after 12pm, lets hope these groups and their leadership are wise enough to see this opportunity and show us all that we are looking at the big picture for the growth of this sport. No excuses here.
Lets give youth the opportunity to enjoy what could be a game where soccer is priority.
Your thoughts?

Arena fired, what is your reaction?

Lets face it , the New York Red Bull were a pretty bad team.
What has happened to Bruce Arena, has his ego gotten to him? Has he lost the edge?
It is clear some pretty bizarre decisions were made by Arena.
One million dollars for Claudio Reyna as a designated player who has been injury prone and would be playing over 20 games on artificial surface. Hey we all called this one. Reyna limped off injured against New England in the semi-finals after an injury filled uproductive year.
A mediocre midfield that was too old, a sub-par defense coupled with sub-par goalkeeping.
His only great move was signing Juan Pablo Angel who on a better team would have scored thirty goals this year.
He has called out Angel, quarreled with Reyna and Ronald Waterreus their goalkeeper and is now gone.
Resignation=firing and buyout.
Rest assured that John Harkes is clamoring for this job in New Jersey.
What is your take ?
