DC United and Chivas tie on aggregate but goats advance

DC United and Chivas tied on aggregate goals but it is Chivas who will advance to play Arsenal of Argentina in the next round of the Copa Sudamerica.
Chivas defeated DC United last night 1-0 at Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara to tie DC United on aggregate goals but advance on the “away ” goals rule.
United absorbed early pressure from Chivas in front of 50,000 fans but on the evening lost the battle of possession but make no mistake this did not come easy for the famed club from Mexico. In fact late chances from Luciano Emilio and Ben Olsen easily could have tied things up and advanced the team from MLS.
The first MLS win is right around the corner in Mexico and nearly was pulled off last night.
Chivas got a huge win for new coach Efrain Flores and the goal from Ramon Morales in the 64th minute was a gem.
Memo to Chivas: Please stop playing Queen’s “We are the Champions ” on every corner . It is demeaning to the game and by the way you had 50,000 people there. Maybe Vergara is trying to ingrain the championship mindset in Chivas.
