Tuesday night (8Central time on FoxESP and 11 on FSC) DC United take on Chivas of Guadalajara at Jalisco Stadium in Mexico in the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana. The prestigious tournament last year was won by Pachuca and with a win United would take on Arsenal of Argentina;
Holding a 2-1 aggregate lead after defeating Chivas at RFK Stadium this past week the time might be now for United and MLS to get their first victory in Mexico.
DC United defeated Chivas with ten men last week and a few days later they fired their manager De La Torre and replaced him with Efrain Flores Mercado.
Both clubs won in league play this past weekend.
These tournaments continue to help the growth of MLS and the gap is narrowing . MFL teams struggled in the Superliga despite Pachuca winning. Club America, Chivas, Morelia and Pachuca in group play all were defeated by MLS teams.
Yet on Tuesday night all will be different in Mexico .
Speaking with head coach Tom Soehn of DC United he feels that their prior trip down in the Concacaf Champions Cup has helped prepare his squad.
Chivas has struggled in Mexican league play but defeated Veracruz 3-1 this past weekend.
Don’t miss this one.

Wait a minute, when did DC get an invite to Copa SA. And was this spot taken from one of the 8 that the Mexican league has?
The win is great, I just hope they don’t blow it like they did CCC.
